We end the call, and I lean back, finally settling myself more comfortably on the couch. I hate that I’m on edge, even when he can’t see me. I’m a grown ass man, but my father has a way of making me feel like an uptight teenager, still trying to earn his approval.

Today’s call couldn’t have come at a worse time. It’s all over Greek Row how disrespectful Thea was at Zeta Nu. She went off the rails, and I have to scrap the plan I worked out with Eloise. I pinch the bridge of my nose. I’ll think of something else, but first, I need to get Holden on this new task.

My phone chimes. This time, it’s the proximity alert in front of the elevator. I pull up the surveillance app on my phone and watch as Thea’s friend walks toward her room. She dropped out of initiation season too.

One person quitting on their own is relatively unheard of. Pledges usually fail out, but Thea could be explained away. Two people dropping from the same pledge roster, and leaving leadership in chaos, nowthat’scatastrophic and an attention grabber. Eloise and the ladies of Zeta Nu are gonna need to get their shit together before their house rank plummets.

As their partner organization, Rho Beta Psi is at risk of being dragged down with them. We’ll have to play this carefully. If we back away from the Zeta Nus while they clean up this mess, we’ll alienate the sisterhood who are integral to how we operate on campus.

If we come out and openly support one nominee over another while they’re in chaos, and that person loses, we risk pissing off the incoming leadership.

My mind is going a million miles a minute, with possibilities and what ifs. No answers are readily available. I need an outlet. I drag myself off the couch and scoop my keys up from the side table where I dropped them. There’s only one thing that’ll settle me right now, and that’s going for a drive.

Chapter50

Thea

Idid an extra circuit on the track today. It’s been raining all week, and I couldn’t go on my usual walk. I should probably start using the indoor gym at the dorm, but I hate being cooped up inside.

The locker room is empty by the time I’m finished. Perfect. I can take as long as I want.

The lightbulb between the locker area and the showers flickers, like it’s ready to die out. I just hope it lasts until I’m done. It would suck ass to have to shower in the dark.

I pin my hair up to keep it from getting wet and lather my body, leisurely rubbing the soap against my skin. I rinse off and turn off the shower, giving myself a little shake to get some of the water drops off of me, before grabbing my towel, tucking it loosely around me.

I make it to the locker area right before the light flickers again. This time, it blinks out for several long seconds before turning back on again. I pull my locker open and place my bag on the bench then, sit down on my towel while I apply lotion to my skin. The light flicks again. It’s definitely on its last leg.

It blinks off a third time just as I’m standing up to slide my pants up over my hips. This time it’s out longer than before. Just as it comes back on, I’m grabbed from behind and shoved against a locker. I rear my head back to slam into whoever is behind me, but they manage to avoid the contact, and wrap their hand around my mouth so I can’t scream for help. Not that I would.

“Hey, there, Pet.”

A little of the fight leaves me when I realize it’s Finn. His hand slips, and I open my mouth to bite down on his fingers. He groans, pressing against me, before moving his hand down to caress my breast.

“What are you doing, asshole?”

“You know what I’m doing. I’m here to continue our game.”

I grab his hand and bend his fingers backwards. “The game is over creep. I won.”

“You don’t win until one of us begs for mercy. I think it’s time you learned that.”

“The only person who’ll be begging is you, when I gut you, if you don’t get your hands off me.” I try to buck him off. “Seriously Finn, quit it. I’m not interested in playing with you. I won, you lost, deal with it.”

His arousal presses against my ass. “No, no, no. Bad, Pet.” He drawls against my ear. “You don’t get to say you won and end the game. You have to actually best me, which you haven’t. You tempted me with that little stunt with my hat. I’ve had just a hint of your essence. Now I need a proper taste.”

He said the game is about one-upmanship. I balk at what he’ll have to do to get one up on me. “I’m not fucking you.”

“Who said anything about that?”

He shoves his fingers into my pants and has no issue getting them under the thin side strap of my panties. Now I’m wishing I’d have worn my thick cotton ones. The shocked gasp that tumbles from my lips when he brushes his fingers through my folds is the only sound I let escape.

I clench my walls to prevent him access. It does little to stop his intrusion, adding a bite of pain when he rams his finger inside me, slowly moving it in and out. I clench again, an involuntary flutter of my inner walls.

“That’s it.” He rasps against my ear. His voice sounding as sinful as molten chocolate. “Wet it up for me, Pet. I want you dripping like you were at the chastity vow ceremony, so I get the full flavor.” He moves his finger in and out, going a little deeper each time, before finally removing his hand. Heavens knows why I’m wet. Finn’s the absolute last person I’d ever want to get with. He lets me go and I gather my indignation around me like a cloak. When I turn around, I’m gonna unleash the fury of hell on him.

I think I must be imaging things when I feel a prick on my neck, but then his finger swipes over the area. When I turn to face him, I spot the blood on his finger. He sticks that one and the one he had inside me in his mouth. Sucking the opposing fluids off.

My mouth gapes open, while his eyes flash with mirth and hunger.
