“Hi,” she waved at him then cleared her throat. “Oneof your husbands?”

“Polyamory is the norm among Kadothian households. One woman, many men.”

“I-I see. That’s…different.”

“Girl, you have no idea. Have a seat and let me tell you about Kadothia.”

After a few hours—and a few delicious alien drinks Jaz claimed were a form of wine made from clouds—Tara was overwhelmed with information.

“Wow.” She looked over at Phin then Karwin. “You think I’m your soulmate? I mean, bondmate?”

“With all our hearts,” Karwin said while Phin nodded. “We know it. Can’t you feel us?”

Oh, she could feel them all right. As her fear had slowly receded and her shock was replaced with amazement, her body had begun to awaken. Karwin and Phin sat right next to her, not giving her any space as Jaz had explained the history of Kadothia and how they’d come to Earth. Throughout it all, her blood thrummed with the need to touch and be touched, to kiss them and taste their essence.

It was super uncomfortable, and she tried her best to ignore them, but it was becoming impossible.

On one side, Karwin had captured her hand in his and he drew little designs on her palm with his fingertip. It felt like he was drawing them on her clit. Phin’s hand rested on her thigh. He slowly stroked her leg in a subtle motion she could hardly see, but she could certainly feel it. And she could sense their hunger. Their hot, masculine need to take her, to mark her, and to make her theirs. It was an unfamiliar, almost predatory emotion as powerful as it was mysterious, and it demanded satisfaction.

“Yes,” she muttered. “I can feel you.”

“Well,” Jaz said as she and Tandar stood. “We’ll leave you for now. I’ve given you enough to think about.”

“You sure have.” Standing, she gave Jaz a hug, squeezing the smaller woman tight. “Thank you, so much.”

“My pleasure.” Jaz hugged her back then whispered in her ear, “A little bit of information you might find informative—when your men orgasm, you canfeelit. And it is crazy good. Whooo, girl. I almost like making my husbands cum more than doing it myself.”

Tandar, Karwin, and Phin all paused in their conversation and looked at them with matching hungry, masculine expressions.

“Come, my Matriarch,” Tandar said with a hungry growl. “I have contacted Mavet and Xentix. They are waiting for us in our quarters.”

Laughing, Jaz joined Tandar and they left the living quarters.

The sudden silence of their departure was only broken by Karwin and Phin’s deep breaths.

Nervously twisting her hands together, she glanced around the room. “So, um, you said you were wearing disguises to appear more human? Can you take them off so I can see the real you?”

“We will have to wash it off,” Phin said with a gleam in his dark eyes.

“That’s fine. I really want to see the real you, not the human version.”

“We appear younger, but we are both more than a hundred Earth years older than you.” Phin said as he took off his shirt, revealing his furred chest. He flexed in a way that had her squeezing her thighs together in response.

“You, once we are bonded, will also appear younger than you true age, thanks to the Kadothian technology that will be used to make sure you can survive in the Bel’Tan Galaxy.”

“And Lacy and Jillian,” Phin added, “if your daughter chooses to come.”

Jaz had explained that, since Lacey was her daughter and her former husband had passed, Lacey and Jillian could come to Kadothia with her. They would never separate a mother from her children, and it wasn’t unusual to find an Earth mate with kids. Karwin and Phin considered the fact that she had both a daughter and a granddaughter to be remarkable good fortune. Because all of their female offspring would be born psychopaths like the ones that made up the Hive, all Kadothian men were fixed at birth to only have male children.

When Karwin and Phin had spoken to Jaz about Jillian, they did it in the proud, glowing way of someone who genuinely cared about her.

“We will give Lacey the choice to join us,” Karwin began to unbraid his hair. “If she accepts, which I hope she does, the possibilities of what she could do in the Bel’Tan galaxy are endless. Though I would do my best to persuade her to live with us. Our estates are massive, and she can have her own home if she chooses.”

“The one by the menagerie,” Karwin agreed, “That way Jillian can be right by the animals.”

“How big is our Territory?” she asked as she worried her thumbnail.

The men exchanged a look and Phin said, “To put it into Earth terms, your Territory is a little larger than the continent of Australia.”
