“Fuck.” Zane rubs his beard and shakes his head.

Asher doesn’t say a word, but the wide-eyed stare he’s giving Teegan speaks volumes and mirrors my own thoughts.

“You’ve got to be shitting me.” My head draws back as I come to terms with what I just saw. It’s always the quiet ones.

“That was even faster than last time, Teeg.” Keegan punches him in the side of the arm.

“You might say Teegan has a hard on for knives.” Rory lets out a booming laugh and rocks back on the heels of his boots.

“Nice to finally meet you, mhainséar.” Teegan ignores all of us and lifts the corner of his mouth into a lop-sided smile while tipping his hat at Kelsey and then Charlee.

“Uh, hi.” Kelsey waves a shaky hand in his direction before she greets the rest of them. Each of them return a nod of the head, but there’s no missing the curiosity burning behind their gazes. I wrap my arm around her and pull her in closer to me letting them know without words that they may be blood, but she’s mine and I don’t give a fuck if they like it or not.

“You ready now? Or are you needing more proof of what us Donnelly boys can do?” Connor crosses his arms over his chest and stares us down.

“I mean, it was okay.” I clear my throat a couple of times and shrug my shoulders. No way am I going to admit to him how badass that was.

“We’ll be waiting outside.” Connor motions for Rory to head out the door, but before he can make it far I stop him.

“Now, hold on a minute. Why are y’all the one’s driving?” My eyebrows pinch together.

“If you want to take your truck, be my guest.” Connor shrugs.

“What the fuck you know about Willie Mae?”

The edges of Connor’s mouth curl into a smile as he and Rory exit out the front door, leaving me to stew on their words.

“Y’all put them up to this?” I shoot my brothers a look and in return get two head shakes. With no other choice, I kiss Kelsey on the top of the head and storm out after them.

Looks like us Savage brothers are about to go hunting with the Donnelly brothers. God help anyone who gets in our way.
