“This is a bar.” Kelsey yanks her arm out of mine and wrinkles her nose at the sign above the dirty glass door. “You sure this is a good idea?” she asks as we walk up to the door where Zane’s waiting.

“It’s the only place open this late out here. You want to wait until morning to eat? I don’t.” He shrugs and walks inside, leaving us to follow behind him again.

Her head full of auburn curls whips my way and the withering stare would make a lesser man shrink. It’s a good thing I’m prepared to handle whatever she gives me.

“You heard him, Wildcat. We need to eat.” I shrug.

“I’m not done being mad at you.” She shakes her head and crosses her arms over her chest.

“That’s fine. You can glare at me all you want while we feed you.” I hold the door open and wait her out.

“Fine, but I’m getting dessert,” she sighs as she walks through the door. My eyes go straight to her ass.
