“Welcome to my haunted abode.” I joke.

She looks around and I close the door and pass her to enter further into the living room. I’m awkward and unsure of what to do or where to go.

“So this is it. Such a beautiful place. Perfect for the little witch that lives here.”

Cat takes two steps and is in front of me. Both hands on my hips as she pulls me in. My hands rest on her arms, the embrace comforting in a way that hasn’t been available to me in so long.

She leans in and covers my mouth with hers. I open without a second thought to her and she slides her tongue between the parted lips. Our tongues caress each other and soon we are both panting with the desire to do more. We want more.

Just as I wrap my arms around her neck and deepen my hold on her, her body shakes. I pull back and a blue glow is entering her lips. I barely catch the face of the ghost before it disappears inside of her body.

“What the fuck?”

I take a step back, but strong fingers hold me in place. Cat’s fingers are now controlled by the ghost and I can’t move. She backs me into the living room wall and pins me in place. I struggle to get away from her, but it isn’t really her doing this. It’s the ghost.

“What do you want? You can’t just come in here and take over someone’s body without permission.” I scold the ghost with my strongest mother’s voice imitation I can muster.

A deep chuckle comes from Cat’s throat and blue glowing eyes peer at me from within her body.

“Too bad, princess. I need you to see. I need you to understand.”

“Understand what? That you are a body snatching ghost that likes to finger fuck me while I’m trying to sleep?”

“That you are mine.”

“Yours? I’m not fucking yours. I don’t even know who the fuck you are.”

“Oh, you will see. Now listen up, princess and I will tell you a little story.”

Her body stays pressed against mine, trapping me in place as she starts story time like she didn’t just body snatch my date.

“Once upon a time, there was a witch and a siren. They were madly in love. Two souls bound like no other has ever been. They were forbidden to be together. One from the sea and the other from a land full of magical indifference.”

She pauses and I almost want to roll my eyes at this made-up story. I can’t escape her grasp and so I wait and bide my time before I can move away.

“Despite the challenges, they fell in love, anyway. They made it work. A stolen moment here or there. Then the families caught them. They destroyed them together. Burned them both together on the same pyre. The last words uttered were a spell that attaches them through eternity.”

“Cute story. What does this have to do with me?”

“You are my witch. My other half of my soul. I’ve been waiting for you to come home to me. Here you are. Finally here, and finally mine.”

“You’re joking, right? How is it even possible? Why aren’t you alive and a siren, then?”

“Each lifetime we have come back in new bodies. Every time we are separated and find each other again. Always. Sometimes we find each other after our death and before the next life. This time, I met a tragic accident at the hands of a drunk person. I waited for you. I found you. Now, you are mine, princess. And I don’t like to share what is mine.”

“You’re dead. How can we have anything like a relationship?”

“Ah, I’m currently negotiating with this woman, Charlotte, to use her body as needed. I can also touch you in my ghost form as you found out this morning. You are mine and while I may be willing to share you with this little shifter here, I won’t share you with anyone else. I’m only sharing you with this one so I can borrow her body occasionally. I want to be able to taste you again. I want to have you writhing beneath me.”

“Wow, but what about me? Do I get a say in this?”

“Only if that answer is yes, princess.”

“What will it be, my little princess witch? Will you take me and this Charlotte woman together, or will I kill her where she stands and still take you?”

I’m not sure what to say. I’ve been given an ultimatum, and it’s an impossible one. I adore Cat and we have had an amazing time together. I won’t say that I’m against the ghost either, now that I know what is happening. Could I have both of them? Can I get everything I want and more? Fuck, this is so weird.

“I need to talk to Cat first before I answer that.”
