The back door opened and he whirled.

“Logan!”

Noah’s arms came around him. “That was Levi and Gavin leaving. They’re going to find Logan. Make sure he’s okay.”

“He has to be okay! He said he forgave me!” Dean fell to his knees.

Noah wrapped himself around Dean.

Axel knelt in front of him.

Bo and Trevor were on their phones.

“I’m sorry,” Dean gasped out through his tears. His heart was beating so fast that he was scared that it would explode. Just go boom and make as big of a mess as Dean had done.

“Listen to me,” Noah said sternly. “I don’t think this is just you panicking. I think you’re channeling Logan’s pain as well. I need you to calm down. Calm him down.”

“He’s channeling Logan?” Axel asked.

“I think so. There’s no reason for this,” Noah said.

For what? What was wrong? Why couldn’t Dean stop shaking? Something was happening! His connection. The spell he had on Logan.

There was a snap inside Dean’s core and he screamed.

It hurt! Burned. The magic had nowhere to go and slammed back into Dean hard and fast.

“What?” Axel demanded.

Noah was crying now. Tears fell from Noah’s eyes to land on Dean. Their tears mixed together.

“The spell broke,” Noah whispered. “We lost our connection to Logan.”

Trevor yowled while shifting.

Bo ran to the door and opened it as a black panther raced out. “Find him!” Bo shouted.

Dean’s vision blurred when everything hit him at once. His tears finally took over. Devastation making his heart ache. Why couldn’t he find Logan with his magic.

Had…had something happened to him?

Was he… No! Dean couldn’t think that way.

“Dean.” Axel shook him. “I need you to focus.”

Dean wiped the tears from his eyes and looked up at Axel.

“Logan’s truck is still out front,” Axel said. “Do you know where he went?”

“Far,” Dean said. He wasn’t close by. Not the last time Dean had felt him.

“Direction?” Axel questioned.

“Woods. He went to the woods,” Dean told him. Yes, this was good. It hadn’t been long since the spell broke apart. Dean still didn’t know why that would happen. He needed to think. He had to help find Logan.

“Good, that helps,” Axel said.

“I need to get up,” Dean demanded.
