Shit, Byron had planned a whole scene to confess his love. He opened his eyes to see Mitch grinning at him.
“What?” Byron asked, annoyed with himself.
“That wasn’t how you planned to tell me,” Mitch responded.
Byron huffed, of course, it wasn’t.
“It’s okay.” Mitch patted his chest. “I just wanted to hear it.”
Byron lurched up and grabbed a hold of his boy before rolling. He laid over Mitch, peering down at him. “I love you.”
“I love you too. Thank me for finding me.”
“I didn’t find you,” Byron corrected. “You found yourself. I just gave you something to hold on to while you made the right decisions.”
Mitch rolled his eyes. “Just let me say thank you.”
Byron chuckled. “Okay.”
“Thank you.” Mitch lifted his head and kissed Byron’s chin. “Thank you.” Byron’s cheek was kissed. “Thank you.” Mitch pressed his lips against Byron’s.
Byron grabbed the back of Mitch’s neck and deepened the kiss. He craved Mitch’s taste. He could never get enough.
When they broke apart Mitch was smiling. “And I love you too.”

Mitch
Mitch grinned at Byron as his Daddy helped him off the bike one last time. They’d taken their time returning to the city. He was both happy to be home and sad that their mini-vacation was over. He hovered close to Byron’s side not wanting to be separated from him.
It had been the best few days.
“Watch out,” Byron said before getting off his motorcycle as well.
Mitch waited until Byron turned to him before he glued his back to his Daddy’s side.
Byron smiled at him. “Ready?”
They’d agreed to a quick stop at his condo for more clothes before returning to Byron’s house. Mitch wanted to stay out of the city for as long as possible. He knew when he started his new job that he’d have to stay in his condo more. He wanted to spend as much time at Byron’s until then.
“Can we stop and get Chinese on the way home?” Mitch wondered. He was craving some spicy pork and loved egg rolls. “There’s a place not far from here.”
“Whatever my boy wants,” Byron agreed.
Happy, Mitch turned to lead the way to the elevators. He passed three cars before a lone figure stepped out in his path. In the darkness of the garage, Mitch didn’t recognize the man.
Byron yanked him back just as the man spoke.
“Where the fuck have you been?”
Shit, the last person Mitch wanted to deal with was his father. He had no guilt hiding behind Byron’s big bulk. He didn’t want to lose the peacefulness he’d been floating in.
“Watch how you speak to him,” Byron replied, with a growl at the end.
Uh oh, his father was not going to like that.
“I’ll talk to my son any fucking way I want to. This isn’t any of your business. Walk away asshole.”
