“Oh he’s not going anywhere,” Finn assured him. “Not on his own. If he hadn’t been mumbling your name I’d have taken him to the hospital.”

“I thought you said he wasn’t hurt!” Grant barked.

“That boy’s soul has been destroyed. You’ll see. Just get here.”

“I will.” Grant hung up and shoved the phone back in his pocket. He turned to see the five fur babies watching from the doorway of the closest. “I’m going to go bring your daddy home.”

He closed the animals back into the bedroom so they wouldn’t get hurt by walking through the broken glass throughout the house. He figured Caleb had done the same.

But instead of cleaning up Caleb had gone to the club.

After Grant got his boy and found out what had happened they were going to have a serious talk. This could not happen again.

He returned to the back door and pulled the key out so he’d be able to get back inside. Grant left through the front door and hurried to his car.

Luckily the drive to the club wasn’t long. Instead of giving him time to calm down Grant was fuming by the time he pulled up to the door. He didn’t even bother parking in a spot just pulled up blocking the entrance.

“Finn’s waiting for you in his office,” the bouncer, Kyle, told him.

Grant nodded. He was clenching his teeth too tight to respond. He stomped through the club and up the stairs ignoring anyone who looked his way. No one other than his boy mattered.

He rapped his knuckles on the closed office door before he opened it.

Master Finn sat behind the desk and nodded toward the couch.

There was his boy. Grant took a deep breath. His boy was okay. Or he would be.

Caleb had his head in his hands as he sat on the black leather couch against the far wall. He didn’t look up when Grant entered.

Finn rose and walked over to Grant. “Take care of him,” Finn murmured. “He’s had a rough night.”

“Did anyone touch him?” Grant had to ask. If Caleb was with someone else they’d get through it but Grant needed to know.

“No. Caleb made it clear that he belonged to someone else. But he did run his mouth a whole a lot.”

“Okay.” Grant nodded and waited until Finn had stepped out before he closed the door leaving him and Caleb alone.

Caleb still wasn’t acknowledging him.

He wore the tiniest pair of black leather shorts and a black tank top. His blond hair was a mess and he was shaking.

Grant didn’t say anything as he crossed the room and sat on the couch beside Caleb. His boy stiffened but remained with his head buried. That was okay, he would give Caleb all the time in the world. Now that Grant knew for sure that Caleb wasn’t injured Grant had much more control. He was still furious. Someone had upset his boy. But he wouldn’t take that anger out on Caleb.

“Aren’t you going to say anything?” Caleb finally said. Grant knew his boy would be the first to break the silence.

He leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest. He wished he was wearing his leather gear instead of jeans and a long-sleeve Henley. Grant wasn’t going to respond until Caleb had the decency to look at him.

“Am I seriously getting the silent treatment?” Caleb snapped.

Still, he didn’t respond.

Caleb huffed before he lifted his head and glared. “What the fuck are you even doing here? I didn’t call you. I didn’t ask you to come.”

The anger radiating from his boy hurt Grant to witness.

“Talk to me!” Caleb yelled.

“Are you safe wording?” Grant asked calmly. He didn’t want to cross a line. In his mind, heart, and soul Caleb belonged to him but Caleb had to choose him in return.
