“And some of it probably made you nervous.”

“Uh-huh,” Avery agreed.

“So, is this something you want to talk about tomorrow night or now?”

Avery closed his eyes. Could he have this discussion with Jace in person? Probably not, and at least over the phone he could try to hide some of his embarrassment. “Now?”

“We can do that,” Jace agreed. “But we’ll still have to discuss some things in person. I’ll have to see your face to make sure you’re really okay with everything before we move forward.”

“O…okay.” He stopped fighting himself and slipped his thumb into his mouth.

“Did you have specific questions for me?”

“No. Yes. No. I don’t know.” His words came out muffled. Damn, hopefully Jace didn’t notice.

“That’s okay,” Jace assured him. “We’ll take it slow.”

Avery sighed. He didn’t know if he wanted to take things slow or not. He really just wanted to be back in Jace’s lap.

“I also have some links that I can send you that might help show you what I’m looking for, for us,” Jace suggested.

Avery pulled his thumb out again. “You don’t mind?”

“No, boy,” Jace responded. “It was very smart to try to figure out what you were thinking about and what I might want. But you need to keep in mind that every relationship is different. What works for one couple might not for another.”

“I don’t want to be whipped,” Avery blurted out. He’d somehow gone down a rabbit hole from boys that knelt, or being tied up, and whipped. Avery liked Jace but he didn’t think he could handle any of that. “Or tied up.”

Jace made a clucking noise. “I can’t see either of those fitting you, my sweet boy. While there is nothing wrong with that type of relationship if both the boy and Dom want them, it’s not how I see us moving forward.”

“No?” Avery pressed. Maybe Jace did understand him.

“No,” Jace said. “I’m a Daddy Dom but prefer the caretaking Daddy aspect of things. I want to cuddle you and love you and give you what you need. I want to watch you play, relax, and let all your worries go.”

“Like…like a…little…” Avery had been most intrigued by a blog he’d found about a man in his late twenties who dressed up and acted like a little boy. Like really little. He even wore diapers little. His Daddy made up his plate and watched him play. When the boy was little, he didn’t have to make decisions. Avery craved that.

“Yes, Avery, I would like to see you as a little, and I’d be your Daddy,” Jace confessed.

“With a bottle and…and…and…”

“Diapers?” Jace supplied. He didn’t give Avery time to freak out though. “Eventually, yes. I would love to see you playing on the floor with a diaper on under your shorts, knowing that I was there to take care of you when you needed to be changed.”

Avery squeaked. He hadn’t actually thought about getting to the point of using a diaper. He decided to ignore that part of Jace’s statement. “Play?”

“Yes, my boy,” Jace said warmly. “Playing blocks or racing cars. Even coloring at the table while I made dinner.”

He let his gaze drift to the couch where he had two adult coloring books and colored pencils. That wasn’t weird. Jasmin had introduced him to the adult coloring books in order to relax after a stressful shift. She’d been enjoying them for a while and after he’d had a bad night at the restaurant had told him how she liked to relax. They were made for adults! Sure, he’d really wanted the coloring books for kids that had superheroes on them and crayons, but he hadn’t gotten them!

“How would you feel about that?” Jace asked.

“O…okay, maybe,” Avery managed.

“I think you’d really like to just let go after school or work. You wouldn’t have to worry about anything other than having fun,” Jace told him.

That sounded like heaven. “I could try,” he whispered.

“Good boy.”

Jace’s praise made him smile. “What else?” He wanted to listen to Jace talk more than anything else at the moment. He put his thumb back in his mouth and settled against his pillow.
