Mitch and Grant would also hopefully become close friends.

Avery glanced back over his shoulder to where his Daddy was leaning forward on the couch with his gaze glued to the television. Damn, his Daddy was so handsome and Avery had his love. Avery was a very lucky little boy.

But he also saw that he fulfilled something that Jace needed as well.

Jace might be the Daddy, but he hadn’t been happy before Avery, either. Jace needed Avery just as much as Avery needed them. Even with the Daddy/ boy dynamic, they were true partners.

Avery had something to offer someone and he needed to do better to remember that. His moment of panic luckily hadn’t held him back from enjoying the day with Mitch.

JACE

Jace picked up the last toy from the backyard before looking around. It had been a great day with Avery and Mitch playing with toys, the four of them grilling out back, and just hanging out.

Spring was only a couple weeks away and he couldn’t wait until he could spend more time with Avery in the backyard, bar-b-ques with friends, and watching Avery’s exploration of his little role. He was already planning what could be added to the backyard that Avery would enjoy.

Hopefully soon their circle would be expanding more. With Avery’s encouragement, Mitch had thrived in a full boy day. Maybe soon Mitch would decide to get back and try dating…finding a Daddy of his own. And Grant was actively looking for a boy to claim.

Grant had even admitted to Jace that he was ready for a full-time boy and hoped to bring a boy of his own over to play. Which meant Jace could justify spoiling his boy even more.

His boy definitely needed a sandbox. Jace could already picture Avery in his diaper with sand coating every inch of him. Chuckling, he turned off the back porch light before walking into the kitchen. Grant had helped him clean up the kitchen while the boys had been in charge of putting the toys away so he didn’t have anything else to do but check on Avery.

Jace turned off the lights as he went through the house.

From the hall, he could hear water splashing from the master bathroom.

“You’re not making a mess in here, are you?” he teased as he stepped into the bathroom.

Avery, with bubbles on top of his head, beamed at him from the tub. “Daddy! The seal splashed me!”

“He did?” Jace made sure to sound stern. “What a bad boy. Maybe he should get a time-out?”

“No!” Avery cuddled the new bath toy to his chest. “It was an accident.”

“Oh well.” Jace sat on the side of the tub, ignoring the way the water soaked his jeans. He was about to change anyway. “Then I think he should be forgiven. Accidents do happen.”

Avery bobbed his head. “They do. And he’s sorry.”

“All right then,” Jace agreed. “Nothing to worry about. But it is time for a baby boy to get cleaned up and into bed.”

“Bedddddddd,” Avery whined. “What about toys?”

“You’ve played all day.”

“Zoo show!” Avery tried.

“Maybe tomorrow.”

“Daddy…”

Jace picked up the washcloth he’d set out earlier and filled it with liquid soap. He dipped his hand with the washcloth under the water and grasped Avery’s cock. He stroked several times and all argument left Avery.

“Yes,” Avery hissed as he leaned back in the tub and spread his legs.

“I thought you would see things my way,” Jace responded with a smile.

He moved his hand up, ignoring Avery’s protest and went about washing his boy’s body. Once he was done, Jace wrung out the washcloth before having Avery lean his head back.
