He slid his hand up my thigh and let his thumb rub over my clit, eliciting a moan from my lips. “I never said I didn’t like it. I’m all yours.”
“Good.” I swayed back and forth over his cock, teasing him as I watched his eyes close while he felt me rub myself all over him. He sat up so that we were parallel to each other, and he captured my lips, causing me to wrap my arms around his neck for leverage. He broke our kiss to look down, seeing me grind myself against him, needing that friction. He licked his lips, a deep chuckle coming from his chest, vibrating against my own.
“So, put me inside of you and ride what’s yours, needy one.”
NICK
Ihadn’t realized I had bitten down on my tongue so hard until I started to taste blood. I had been hanging out near the front door of the hostel, ready to leave when Dani yet again decided to blindside me with a dress that fit her in all the right places. It was as simple as her first dress, but this one was tighter, and the neckline was deeper. It was black with ruched fabric that hugged her body and skinny straps that sat nicely over her collarbones. She played with the frill hem as she made it down the last step, her heels clicking on the wood.
Elise whistled. “Oh shit, Nicholas. Hold onto her for dear life in that dress.”
I rolled my eyes, noticing Beetee setting up some items in the little lounge area. “What are you doing over there?”
She snorted. “While you two are gone, I have to make it civil around here since you’re leaving me with these two. I have some very friendly card games for us to play. Leah and Garrett agreed to help me entertain.” Leah had mentioned to me when she had been glamouring myangelic aura that she had missed Beetee a lot and wanted to spend more time with her. Whether she wanted to have that time split with Reese and Elise was an entirely different story.
“Entertain? Beetee, I am perfectly fine entertaining myself. And that does not involve spending any more time with this one than is required of me.” Elise stuck her finger in her mouth and pretended to gag.
Beetee tucked a lock of her hot pink hair behind her ear. “Just indulge me, please, you big grump.”
“Yeah, you big grump, indulge your cute reptilian friend,” Reese mocked, faking pouting over at Elise.
Elise nearly had steam coming from her nostrils. Axel, who I assume had been dozing off on the couch, jumped up and propped his front paws along the back of the couch, resting his head between his large paws and staring at his owner. “Removing some dead weight from this team is looking so fucking good right now, I swear.”
“Just behave, okay.” I looked at Reese when he placed his hand on his chest, as if he was offended that I would have even considered him to be an issue.
“Who me? I’m going to be a literal angel.” He batted his eyelashes innocently. Reese looked over to Dani, nodding at her as if they both had some kind of friendly understanding. He clapped me on the back. “Go show that Dimitri who has the bigger dick.”
“Oh my god. Let’s go.” Dani grabbed my hand, quickly waved at everyone and dragged me out the door.
We made it past the red lit pathway and a few feet from the club without any mishaps. Without the awareness I had to have with Reese at my side, I could really focus on what was around me. It was the same as before, the taverns, the smell, the creatures, but I now really saw the way there were zero fucks given. There were more people who were dry humping against buildings and louder, wilder laughter inside the taverns with the fully open exterior windows. The smells were more intense this time around and it was heady. I felt almost intoxicated by it, like I could get drunk off of it. There was a weird feeling I got that eyes were on us. Not in Devil's Playground exactly, but outside of this district of Purgatory, where the trees loomed around us in their frozen state.
“Try to keep your angelic magic in check okay. If you’re going to have a pissing contest with Dimitri, I guarantee he would rather have a drinking contest than a fight,” Dani said, walking slightly ahead of me.
“Don’t worry, I’m focused. I don’t plan to get distracted. Especially not by him.”
“Oh.” She turned around, placing her hand on my chest and looking up at me. “So, I’m not a distraction, Nicholas.”
I laughed. “That’s not fair.” She was so much more than just a distraction.
She hummed, squinting her eyes at me playfully, but then continued to walk ahead. “Focus is good, but if you’re too focused, you’ll end up looking like a fucking bodyguard, like Zane of all people. Great guy, but he needs to get out more. I thought everything that we did last night would have relaxed you, but maybe I shouldn’t have gone as easy on you when you said you were tired.” She snuck a look over her shoulder and I smirked at her. Tired and relaxed were two feelings I did feel, but not together. I woke up this morning, spooning her, after a night that had my limbs still in agony.
She brought me back to the present as she continued speaking as we got up to the club doors. I started to reach around her so that I could open the door for her, but she stopped me. I looked down at her as she gave me a purposeful look. The lighting above her made her glow even if ideally it wasn’t the best lighting generally. “I get it, Dani. Be more relaxed. Don’t role-play a bodyguard.”
Her eyes sparkled with intrigue. “Hmm, I’ll keep that whole role-play idea in mind, but I mean it Nick. Relax and let me do the talking.”
The lights flickered and flashed back and forth, moving between shades of red and dark orange. It was everything I remembered but being here without Reese and Elise let me breathe. I wasn’t breathingtooeasily though since I was still here with the only girl who had ever made the oxygen stop running to my brain. She moved through the club in this way that had me watching her every move and wanting to follow her like a damn puppy. There was an entirely different part of me that wanted to take her in front of all these demons and stake a claim that I didn’t even know if I deserved, a claim I didn’t understand.
I moved around a demon girl with scales down her arms and ran right into Dani’s back, not realizing she had stopped walking. She stumbled forward a bit and I reached out to steady her, bringing her back against my body…which was a mistake. My fingers flexed against the fabric of her dress, and I could practically hear myself swallow through the loud bass of the music surrounding us. She swiftly turned around and looked up at me, the lights of the club darting around her face. She stretched up onto her toes and moved to my ear. “I don’t see him.” The warmth of her breath against my ear couldhave killed me.
Him? Oh fuck, that’s right. The reason that we were here.
Dimitri.
I tore my eyes away from her and looked up towards the second floor of the club. The music changed from a rock beat to a more techno rhythm and I watched as a few demons gathered towards the dance floor and started grinding like no one else was around. I grabbed her hand and guided her towards one of the nearest bars. I made quick eye contact with a demon male who gave me a cheeky smirk before he caught sight of Dani and looked away, quickly, well not before giving her an obvious once over. She sure did make an impression. Ian, the demon bartender from the last time we were here, nodded over to us. He shook his head at Dani. “I’m not sure where he is actually. I know he came in, but I lost track of him about an hour ago.” A group of girls at the other end of the bar requested his attention, so he tapped his knuckles against the counter and made his way over to them.
She scrunched her mouth over to one side in thought. “Maybe we should split up,” she suggested leaning against the bar. She had to speak up a bit still for me to hear her over the music.
I narrowed my eyes. “Split up?”
