A little whine tears from my throat as Hunter pushes his knot into me, the brothers lapping at the new bites in my neck. Pleasure continues to thrum through me until I’m sure I’m going to come again. I sigh, relishing in the new bonds because I can feel all three of them. It’s like the added notes to a melody that were missing, the full song now present in my soul.
I never thought it would feel like this. I never thought I’d feel anything close to this. The bond—it’s not just some instinctual connection. It’s alive, pulsing with every beat of my heart, a thread tying me to them in ways I can’t even put into words. Hunter leans his forehead against mine, his fingers stroking lazily over my hip as he lets out a soft growl, his voice like gravel when he speaks. “You’re ours now,” he murmurs, his words possessive but full of adoration. “Finally ours.”
I don’t even realize I’m crying until Moses brushes a tear off my cheek, his lips pressing gently to my temple. “You’re precious, Koa,” he says, his voice barely a whisper. “Feeling you like this… through the bond… it’s everything. How’s it feel?”
I spend a few seconds thinking, checking in with myself. There’s no panic, no lack of self-confidence. Just happiness. It reminds me of the moments when life used to be good, when Mom was alive and Damien didn’t hate my very existence. “It feels like home,” I finally say. “And knowing that I don’t have to leave, that I have the three of you means more than you’ll ever know. I finally have my own family.” Tears gather in my eyes as Hunter drags me into a soft kiss, Amel placing a hand on my thigh to remind me that they’re all here for me.
“You do have us, Koa. We’ve been looking for you for a damn long time and I’m so happy that we found you.”
I breathe out a happy sigh before letting sleep overtake me.
Moses
Hunter’s sitting cross-legged on the lounge in the office, Koa draped across his lap, the sound of her laughter echoing through the room like the sweetest melody. She’s got her head tilted back, exposing the fresh bite on her shoulder, Hunter’s lips brushing over it like he can’t help himself. She lets out another soft giggle, swatting at him half-heartedly and I can’t help but grin at how much more relaxed she is now.
It’s a stark contrast to the terrified Omega we brought home. She’s softer now, less guarded, and seeing her happy like this makes the bond thrumming between us feel even more alive. Ilean back in my chair, watching the way she melts into Hunter’s arms, her fingers lazily tracing patterns on his forearm. It’s hard not to get caught up in the moment, to ignore everything else and just bask in this—her.
Even Amel, the most composed of us, hasn’t been immune to her charms. He’s been wandering in and out all day, finding every excuse to touch her, kiss her, remind her that she’s ours. And she lets him. Hell, she thrives under it, her cheeks flushed and her scent sweet every time he leaves her whimpering for more.
But as much as I want to stay wrapped up in this little bubble we’ve created, there’s a storm brewing on the horizon, and we can’t afford to ignore it any longer.
I clear my throat, the sound cutting through Koa’s laughter. Hunter glances up at me, his smile fading slightly when he catches the look on my face. Koa shifts, her gaze flicking to me as she sits up a little straighter, her giggles dying down.
“What is it?” she asks softly, her fingers still gripping Hunter’s arm like she’s afraid I’m about to pull the rug out from under her.
I perch on the edge of the coffee table, my arms crossed over my chest as I stare at Koa before letting out a heavy sigh. “We need to talk. It’s not the way I wanted to bring this up, but there’s no other option now. About what’s been going on—before you came into our lives.”
Her eyebrows knit together, confusion and worry flashing across her face. “What do you mean?”
Hunter’s lips press into a thin line, his free hand resting on her knee like he’s trying to reassure her. I push off the table slightly, leaning closer as I brace myself for her reaction. “There was an employee who was stealing information from our system and handing it off to another company.”
Koa’s eyes widen, her lips parting in shock. “Stealing? Why? For who?”
“That’s where it gets complicated,” I admit. “We found out the company she was working with is owned by Novak.”
Her gasp is sharp and instant, her hands flying to her mouth. “Novak?” she whispers, her voice barely audible. “As in… my family?”
I nod, my jaw tightening as I watch the color drain from her face. “We dug deeper, Koa,” I continue, hating the way her emotions are bleeding through the bond—shock, horror, and underneath it all, a simmering fear. “Damien is behind all of it. He’s been orchestrating this from the shadows, using our company as a stepping stone for his own gain.”
Tears pool in her eyes, her hands fisting at her sides as she stares at me, trying to process the weight of what I’ve just said. “He’s behind everything?” she whispers, her voice trembling.
I nod, my heart aching at the devastation etched across her face. “I’m sorry,” I murmur. “I didn’t want it to come out like this, but you needed to know.”
She shakes her head sharply, a bitter laugh escaping her lips as tears slide down her cheeks. “It’s not your fault,” she says, her voice thick with emotion. “None of this is your fault.”
“Koa…” Hunter’s voice is soft as he rubs slow circles on her back, trying to comfort her, but she cuts him off.
“No,” she snaps, her voice growing stronger, her sadness giving way to something darker. “He’s going to pay for this. Every single thing he’s done, he’s going to pay.”
Her words hang in the air, the weight of her anger filling the room. She’s no longer trembling, no longer shrinking under the weight of the truth. She’s furious, her Omega fire burning bright as she stares back at me, daring me to say otherwise.
I feel a grin tugging at my lips despite the gravity of the situation. There she is—our fierce, unstoppable mate. “He’llpay,” I promise her, already thinking of a few wonderful ways to accomplish that. The basement is definitely going to be involved. “One way or another, we’ll make sure of it.”
Her gaze flickers between me and Hunter, her tears drying as determination hardens her features. “Good,” she says, her voice like steel. “Because someone needs to show him that he’s no longer the biggest guy in the room. What’s the plan?” She glances between the both of us, her brows furrowing ever so slightly. “Does this have to do with the gym?”
“The gym?”
Her nose scrunches up as she glares at me. “I’m not stupid. Amel explained some things. I know it’s not agym.”
