Before I can protest, he applies gentle pressure, his finger teasing the tight ring of muscle. My body stiffens, but his free hand finds my clit, rubbing slow, deliberate circles until my resistance melts away.

The tip of his finger presses inside, and I gasp, my body tensing before slowly relaxing into the sensation. It’s strange, not painful, but enough to steal my breath.

“You’re taking it so good,” he whispers against my neck, sucking my skin into his mouth as his palm grinds into my clit. A bolt of pleasure shoots through me, white-hot and blinding.

A few more thrusts and I shatter, my pussy clenching around him as he works his finger deeper, his thumb stroking my clit, the dual sensations overwhelming. I scream his name, my cries echoing through the space.

“Look at me,” Niko growls, grabbing my chin and forcing my eyes to his. “That was the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen. Now keep looking at me as I fill you with my cum.”

His hips slam into mine, fast and unrelenting. My walls grip him like a vice, responding to him with each deep, punishing thrust. I’m barely holding on as his breath stutters, his muscles tightening beneath my hands.

He groans low and guttural, his head dropping to the crook of my neck as he thrusts once more, burying himself deep. His cock thickens, and he shudders violently, his release spilling inside me as his body jerks.

For a moment, all I can focus on is the heavy press of his chest against mine as his hand cradles the back of my neck. His lips brush over my shoulder, as if he’s savoring the moment.

“You know,” I say, my voice still breathy, “if this is what it takes to get your attention, I might have to act like a brat more often.”

He pulls back enough to meet my gaze. “You’re playing with fire, moya sladost. But if that’s the game you want to play, I’ll happily oblige.”

I stand slowly, my legs trembling as I adjust my dress back into place and smooth down my hair. “What now?”

“Now we return to the party,” he says, arching a brow. “With that wrap firmly in place.”

I roll my eyes, and his hand comes down on my ass with a light slap. “Behave,” he says, smirking.

Before either of us can move, a booming knock shakes the office door.

“We’re busy!” he snaps.

“Get out here. We’re under attack!” Vadim shouts from the other side. His words are cut off by the distinct crack of gunfire.

Fear barrels into me, as Niko pulls me close and pushes me beneath the solid oak desk.

“Stay down,” he barks, yanking open his desk drawer and pulling out a gun and ammo.

I curl into myself, knees pressed to my chest, my hands shaking. Screams echo from somewhere outside the office, making my stomach churn.

Niko crouches in front of me, his hands finding my face, steadying me. “Sofiya, look at me. You stay under this desk, do you understand? I need you to stay safe so I can do what needs to be done.”

“No!” I gasp, my voice cracking. “Don’t go! It’s too dangerous.”

He leans in, pressing his lips to my forehead “I need to. But I can’t do what’s necessary unless I know you’re safe. I’m going to lock the door from the inside. Don’t open it unless it’s me or one of my men.”

Tears prick my eyes as I nod, my throat too tight to form words.

His thumb brushes my cheek—a fleeting moment of tenderness before he’s gone.

I clamp my hands over my ears, trying to block out the chaos outside, but it’s the thoughts in my head that are doing the worst damage.

Is this Roman and the Syndicate?

Liza warned me they knew where Niko’s estate was. Did they track us here?

My chest tightens painfully as I picture Niko and Roman’s men fighting, lives lost on both sides. The thought is suffocating. This is everything I’ve dreaded—and it’s all my fault.
