The heels of the stilettos tapped the concrete floors as I sashayed toward the back door. I felt powerful in these shoes. I was only ten minutes late. Catch probably had the engine running. Stepping out the door, I halted as I noticed the SUV was empty. Where was Catch? My eyes gravitated to the right and my mouth dropped open.

Gray outdoor patio furniture sat on black outdoor carpet. My eyes moved over the twinkle lights connected to four outdoor lamps. Catch stood in the center clutching his hands in front of him. The black suit hugged his muscled frame. His blonde curls were defined more than usual. Did he have product in his hair? He looked so handsome as the sunset around us.

“Catch, I thought we were going to dinner,” I stated as I inched closer.

I glanced at the floor to his right. Crimson rose pedals adored the floor.

“Catch, are we having dinner here?” I asked.

He reached for my hand. “You’re an absolute vision.”

“Thank you. Catch you look handsome tonight. This will be our second date.” I grinned.

“When I came face to face with you the first day we met I thought this woman is beautiful. Then that smart little mouth of yours got to going and I thought I’d love to tame her.”

“Catch, shut up.” I shoved at his chest.

His smile withered. “I came to Chicago for one reason. To find my cousin. When he asked me to guard his woman, I had no idea she’d have a friend who would steal my breath away.”

The butterflies were working overtime in my belly.

“You’ve been angry with me since the moment I mentioned I’d marry you. Later that night after I had to teach you a lesson I woke to the sound of your sniffles. I was heartbroken. I replayed every time I mentioned you becoming my wife in my head. At first, I thought she said she’d be my forever woman, but she doesn’t want to be my wife.”

I tried yanking my hand from his. “Let’s just go to dinner, Catch.”

He dropped to one knee. Tears blurred my vision, and I felt my heart slam against my ribcage.

“Every second of everyday I bark orders at you. I told you that you were my woman. None of that bothered you. Well not at as much as when I told you we were getting married.”

He brought the back of my hand to his lips. The tears slipped down my cheeks as I stared at Catch.

He reached into his pocket with his free hand, then released my hand. I swiped at the tears flooding my cheeks.

Catch popped open the green box and met my gaze. “Bianca Landry, will you marry me?”

I placed my shaky hand on his clean-shaven jaw. “Yes, Callum Rizzo, I’ll marry you.”

He grabbed my left hand and slid an oversized diamond ring with a platinum band down my ring finger. Catch stood, wrapped his arms around my waist pulling my up into his arms. My feet hoovered over the ground.

“She said yes,” he yelled.

Clapping erupted behind us.

Crossing my arms behind his neck, I leaned into his lips. My tongue pushed through his lips finding his tongue. Silencefell around us. I blocked out the clapping and embraced that moment with my fiancé.

Pulling back, I smiled. “I love you, Callum.”

“I love you too, bellissimo.” He called me beautiful in Italian. That was so sexy. Damn, I wanted to fuck him.

He placed my feet on the ground, and I ran toward my friends. We hugged for what felt like forever.

They were my people. My sisters. I was the luckiest girl in the world to have them. So happy they were able to share in this special moment with me.
