“Girl, considering all you’ve been through, you look amazing.” Simone sprinkled imaginary fairy dust on me like we used to do when we were kids.

Poking my tongue out, I twirled within our little circle.

“I’m in a lot of pain. But it’s that good kind of pain. I needed Ritchie. We were two broken people who needed each other. I still can’t believe he fought like the true mafia man he is to get me back.”

Bianca poured orange juice into four glass tumblers. “Sounds like he was the right man to get the job done.”

I licked my lips. “He sure was. When he gets back, we’re going to fuck up Rosco together. Then later I’ll have him clean me up from head to toe.”

“I haven’t known you to be so nasty.” Bianca raised her hand and our palms met midair.

“I’ve never been happy before, either. He’s the first man whose made me feel wanted and loved. Think about it. I was abused by my mother’s boyfriend. I became my best friend’s girlfriend. Only to be used so he could secretly have arelationship with my cousin. And let’s not forget he fed me to the wolves.”

I sucked down the orange juice. My eyelids slammed shut at the memory of Rosco’s fist pounding on my face again and again.

My eyes popped open. “How could Daryl serve me up like that? After all, we’d been through. That bullshit he pulled at the school reminded me of Tyra’s backstabbing ass.”

“Ain’t that the truth,” Simone stated as she held her glass outstretched toward Bianca.

She poured champagne into her glass.

“Do you think she’s dead, T?” Simone asked.

“Fuck, I don’t know. I can’t believe they never found her body. If she is still alive, we need to be ready for her,” I replied.

The girls nodded.

“Ritchie went to meet Kagan. I’m not sure if he found Daryl.” I shook my head. “You know what? Let’s forget about him just for a little while. We need to celebrate being together again.” I raised my glass.

Asia’s lower lip trembled. “I’m so happy you and Simone are back with us. The four of us make our group a strong unit.”

I pressed my good arm into hers. “We are going to make Rosco and Daryl pay. I love you, girl,” I affirmed.

“Love you too, T.”

The girls and I said I love you to each other, then sucked down our mimosas.

“Let’s bake.” I pumped my hand in the air.

“Bianca, how are you and Catch?” I asked.

A huge smile curled her lips. “Good. I can’t believe how far we’ve come in the short time we’ve been together. And the sex...” Bianca pulled her lower lip into her mouth.

“I never knew it could be like that. It’s so amazing.” She cupped her hands around her mouth. “His dick is pierced,” Bianca whispered.

My eyes widened. “Who knew Catch was so dark? I love it.”

“That’s awesome,” Simone gushed.
