Jealousy raged inside of me at the thought that someone else could have her regularly, and that this would be the only time I could have her.

She rattled off her address and I kicked the stand up and tore out of the woods towards town. I knew the address.

It was in the middle of the suburbs, the middle class fuckers who looked down on our side of the town. Please tell me she hadn’t turned to one of those fuckers to marry.

She held onto me, her fingers digging into my bare skin under my shirt. Fuck.

I hadn’t had enough of Sheridan yet. I never would, probably, but I would have to lose the idea of ever having her again.

Slowly, as I rumbled into the quiet streets of the upper class, I looked at the house I pulled up at, wondering how she couldafford such a house when she worked in the mall. She handed me the helmet, and I put it back on the bike behind me.

“Thank you, Cooper,” she said, softly. “I hope we can do it again.”

Surprise and hope bloomed in my chest as I looked over at her, pulling her up to me, my arm wrapping around her waist.

“Does that mean I won’t remain your dirty little secret?” I asked her.

“For now, I want to keep you to myself,” she said, putting her finger on my mouth. I sucked in one of her fingers and she gasped before she closed her eyes, relishing the feel.

“You got it. You know where to find me. Next time, I’ll take you to my place where no one knows I live and I’ll fuck you senseless, so you don’t worry about work the next day…or whoever you’re hiding me from.”

She sighed. “You always could read me like a book, Cooper.”

“Whoever he is,” I said, kissing her hand, before she dropped it. “He’s not worth it if he can’t keep you happy.”

Her smile returned. “Oh, is that jealousy I see sparking in your eyes?”

“Maybe,” I said, firmly. “We both know you’ve always been mine, Sheridan. I intend to stake my claim now that I’m back.”

She moaned softly, her eyes darkening with desire. She liked it when I called her mine. Just like the way I liked the sound of it on my tongue.

“I’m not dating anyone, Cooper, you can relax. But next time, if you wanted to claim me by telling me I’m yours, that’d be good too.”

I grabbed her hair and pulled her down to me, kissing her like I'd never see her again. “You are mine.”

She shuddered before she pulled away. “Go.”

I smirked at her, kicking my stand up again and tearing off into the night just as she opened the door and headed inside.

Chains and Razor both went at the fucker as he cowered behind the glass partition at the shop. I was getting sick of these low level fuckers who wouldn’t give up their boss. I needed to know who was running the drugs in town, so we could come to an agreement. I really didn’t relish the idea of getting violent all the time, especially when there was a better way to conduct business.

Bear moved to me, pocketing his phone. “We gotta get back. Hawk needs us.”

“Can’t Hawk do anything on his own?” I groaned.

“Apparently you’re not going to like it, so I’m guessing you need to be there.”

I closed my eyes in search of the strength to deal with something else that was going wrong in my life.

It had been days since I’d been in Sheridan and still she hadn’t come by, she hadn’t called and for the life of me I couldn’t find anyone in the clubhouse who had her number. I could find it, sure, but I wanted her to want me to have it.

If I asked Orla, I’d never hear the fucking end of it, so that was out. I was getting frustrated.

Pushing off the table I was sitting on while watching the show the enforcers were putting on, I signalled to them that I was leaving. Bear could stand by and give them whatever they needed. I grabbed my helmet and mounted my bike, ignoring the eyes on me, and took off back to the clubhouse. It was Tuesday afternoon. What could possibly be going down in the clubhouse that Hawk couldn’t control? He was my fucking VP for a reason, because I knew he could handle it.
