Beast laughs and tuts, shaking his head back and forth. “Fucking messy.” He laughs to himself as he walks back down the stairs. I frown, looking around, wondering what is so messy about the apartment.

CHAPTER TWENTY

RHEA

Once all thefurniture is in, the place looks amazing. I can’t wipe the smile off my face. When I see Ghost, I practically run and tackle him, wrapping my arms around his neck, unable to control myself.

“Thank you, thank you, thank you!” I repeat. He awkwardly pats my back, and I release my hold on him. “Sorry,” I apologise to Star. “I’m just grateful for all you’ve done for me and Oliver. I just can’t contain my gratitude,” I beam.

Star laughs. “I’d pay you to do that again. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look so awkward.”

I laugh before covering my face and mouth the word “Sorry” again to Ghost. It’s then that I notice the time. “Oh my god, Oliver finishes school in ten minutes,” I gasp.

Scar steps forward and places his hand on my lower back. “Don’t worry, darlin’. I’ve got the truck. I will drive you now,” he offers.

“That would be great, thank you,” I sigh, relieved that it’s only a fifteen-minute walk from here. I would have had to run to make it on time. “All stay, won’t you? Oliver will want to see you all, and just wait until you see his face,” I sing excitedly.

Scar leads me out of the shop and opens the passenger door of the truck for me. I smile and get in, watching as he walks around to the driver’s side. I look out of my window and up to the apartment; my apartment. It still doesn’t feel real. I spot Acid stood in the window looking down on us. I smile and wave at him, happy when he returns my smile as Scar pulls off. The drive only takes a few minutes, and Scar immediately finds a spot and pulls over to park.

“There is something I wanted to talk about with you alone,” Scar says.

I unclip my seatbelt and turn in my seat to face him. “Sure.” I smile.

His eyes search my face. “The other night,” he starts, and my cheeks immediately heat. His lips twitch into a smile. “I want to do it again, but just you and me this time,” he states bluntly.

I open my mouth, feeling a little stunned. “Huh?” is all I can come out with.

He smiles. “I know you ain’t ready for any heavy shit, I can see that. I ain’t that type of guy either, but there is something about you that just seems to be stuck in here,” he says, tapping his temple. “The image of you taking my cock in your mouth.” He groans. “Rhea, it is burned into my mind. I’ve wanked to it in the shower at least three times since,” he says openly.

My brain can’t seem to function with this information. “Huh?” I repeat. Scar leans across the centre console and cups my face with his hands.

“I’m saying that I make no promises. I can’t do that, but you’ve got me wound tight. You need a release, I need you. We can keep it casual. I know you’re fucking Acid,” he adds.

“Huh?” I blurt out again.

“I know you’ve got something going on with him, but if we are all casual about it, then he should be cool. He didn’t like sharing you the other night and I get that, because I wanted tosink myself into your stunning pussy. If Acid is cool with it, and you’re cool with it, what do you say?” he asks.

Wide eyed, I blink. “What the fuck is going on? Is this a set-up?” I ask.

Scar smiles. “No darlin’, just me declaring my feelings,” he states, his eyes dropping to my mouth. He leans in and brushes his lips against mine. A whimper escapes me, and he smiles against my lips. “Damn, those noises you make,” he growls before crushing his mouth to mine. His tongue caresses mine, teasing it.

For a moment, I get lost in his kiss, until I remember where we are and what is happening. I pull back, gazing into Scar’s heated stare. I blink a few times, trying to calm my heart, but the heat between my legs and the million thoughts rushing through my head makes that impossible.

“Just wait,” I breathe. “Just wait a second,” I say, holding my hand up.

“Take all the time you need.” He smiles.

I look at him, at his hard yet handsome face, with the prominent scar running down the side of it which somehow only adds to his attractiveness. “I like you,” I start. “I liked the other night, and I like that kiss that just happened,” I say honestly. “But I’m not the type of woman that will play two men off against each other, and even with what Acid and I have agreed, I’m not sure that it extends to us. Er, you know with other people as well. And if this was to be okay and for this to happen, wouldn’t that make me a massive slut?” I ask.

Scar smiles. “You and the word slut should never be used in the same sentence. Just because you enjoy company with a man or two doesn’t make you a slut,” Scar counters.

I place my head in my hands. “Oh god, what is happening?” I groan. I lift my head and look at Scar. “Okay, I need to processthis, and I need to speak with Acid. Actually, I think we all need to speak,” I demand.

Scar just smiles, tucking my wayward strand of hair back behind my ear before he leans in and places a soft yet brief kiss on my mouth. “Nothing will happen without your say so,” he states.

I nod, wanting to talk more but the sound of kids talking, shouting, and laughing fills my ear. “Oliver,” I blurt out. Scar removes his hands as I turn and jump down out of the truck to wait for him. Scar comes and stands next to me, and I catch a few of the moms giving him an appreciative look. He ignores them and simply places his hand on the small of my back, his thumb stroking in a soothing motion. My skin prickles at his touch. God, I’m screwed.

According to Oliver, he had the best day at school ever. All the kids think he is the coolest because he is part of the Black Hearts MC. I didn’t like to point out to him that he isn’t actually a club member, but he seemed too excited, and he was more than willing to do his homework on his new computer in his new room.
