“You have fifteen minutes before I come in,” Miriam calls from the other side, her tone dead serious. “Finish whatever you started, Pip.”
“You heard her, darling. Finish me.” Pulling off just long enough to nip his thigh, I suck him back down until it’s hard to breathe. Liam’s big, and maybe someday I’ll be able to take him all the way back, but for now, I push a little more each time he pumps his hips toward my face. “Suck a little harder. Yeah…just like that.”
Cheeks hollowed, I hum on each stroke, making sure to pump with my hand what doesn’t fit in my mouth. My throat relaxes and I swallow with pride every drop of his pre-come, but it isn’t until he catches sight of my free hand slipping between my thighs that he explodes.
“Son of a bitch,” Liam hisses through clenched teeth, his midsection flexing as he fills my mouth with his spend. It overflows, and some of it slips to the clean sheets below, but I swallow what I can and clean him up, before giving my fiancée a cheeky grin.
A smile that has me airborne a second later with a very happy Liam above me. “Good morning, handsome. Happy anniversary/Valentine’s Day.”
“Happy Anniversary/Valentine’s Day, to you too, my love,” Liam croons against my cum slick lips, tasting us before deepening the kiss. His hand is back between my thighs, lazily pumping a finger in and out, and this time it’s slow. Savoring. It’s no less heated as I melt into the bite of his teeth raking over my abused lips. Can’t stop the wanton moan from escaping the back of my throat either, I’m arching toward him and digging my fingers into his back to keep him right where he belongs.
Over me. Between my thighs. His beautiful cock notched at my entrance.
I won’t deny being a bit sore, but this isa discomfort that I wear with pride. Because the man I love beyond all measure, who’s my home, holds me close and the look in his green eyes is full of love.
The same look I once promised my mother, I’d look for in the man I’d share my life with.
The same man, I described without having met him.
“I love you, Liam. So much.”
“And I love you.” His lips trace my chin before dipping low to the underside of my left breast where our initials sit permanently etched onto my skin. He kisses each letter there before looking back up at me. “How does it feel to be another year older? Twenty-two and about to be married.”
“Like the best dream.”
“No cold feet?”
“Well…” I trail off, and his green eyes narrow, his fingers at my sides poised to attack. I’m ticklish everywhere, and he knows it. “What do you think about toasty warm and ready to dance the night away?”
“Don’t be a brat.”
“Your brat. Say it with me.”
“Piper Christmas Rutherford,” he grinds out, the start of a tickle war looming too close for my comfort, and yet I can’t help myself.
“That is my name, yes. But it’s still Valentine.” That earns me a quick dig into my right side, the giggles bursting from me are loud and make him smile.
“Ready to fix your mistake?”
“I’m not a Rutherford just yet, Liam. Technically, we have to sayI dofirst.”
“Sweetheart, it’s my ring on your finger, my seed dripping between your thighs, and my child in your womb. You. Are. Mine.”
“Wait! You know?”
“Of course, I do.” To further prove his point, he shimmies down my body and places his face against my still-flat stomach. “In seven months, we’ll have a beautifully bouncing bundle of dictatorship that will rule our lives for the next eighteen years. They’ll bear my name, be the perfect mix of me and you, and you’ll be unable to ever get away from me.”
“You say the sweetest things.” A little choked up, I wipe the corner of my eyes where two tears fell. “But running away isn’t that hard, Liam. The world is my oyster.”
“Not if I keep you pregnant for years to come and in my line of sight at all times.” He’s dead serious, and my heart gives an excited jump at the thought. To some, it might be crazy and excessive, but we’re okay with that. I’m happy to walk down the aisle knowing he is it for me and I am his everything. “But in all seriousness, I adore you, Piper. My life has no meaning without you, and I am blessed to call you mine.”
“Thank you for loving me.”
“Thank you for being my home.” Liam kisses me one more time, this time it’s a feather-light skim of his lips before getting up from the bed and holding out a hand to me. I take it and the robe he fetches for me once I’m upright. There’s a smile on our faces as we stand there, knowing that moment we open the door and let the world in everything will change.
I’ll become Mrs. Rutherford, and he’ll take on the title of my husband. My protector.
Because at the end of the day, that’s all that truly matters.
