~I noticed. How’d that happen? ~

~The living? No clue. We went way past what we should have, even intending to go farther than normal. I couldn’t bloody stop. ~

~I know. I was so hungry. ~I stretch my limbs before dropping back onto him.

~I don’t know why, love, but this blood craving I have for you is like nothing I’ve ever felt before. ~He strokes his hand down my back and I feel it like it’s in stereo. I mean, I feel himtouching me, his hand on my skin, but I also feel his hand as if it’s mine feeling my skin under it. ~Well, that’s new. ~

~Whoa. ~

~It’s not only me then; good to know. ~His fingers trace up and down my spine and I know he feels the muscles relax and my heart speed up.~Jesus, that’s potent. ~

My eyes flutter at the sensations and I reach out, tracing around his peacock.~Good Goddess. ~I groan.

His breath hisses as he arches his back, pressing into my hand.~Christ. What did we do? ~

Hands rubbing up and down his chest, I whisper.~God, baby. I don’t know. It feels amazing. ~

Groaning darkly, he slides his hands down to span my waist, caressing. Our eyes roll back as the sensations coast over us both in shocking clarity. He gapes and blinks.

~It’s like we’re in the same body! ~I rest my head on his shoulder before my palms slide over his hipbones, rubbing my thumbs on the points.

His breath comes faster and his hips sway a bit as he nods.~That, my heart, is exactly how it feels. ~

Leaning down, I kiss over his heart.~This is going to take some getting used to. Can Talia feel it, you think? Or Rafe, I wonder? ~

Eyes losing focus, he connects with his other mate. Through our bond, I see a flurry of images I assume are from Talia, and I blink.~Whoa. ~

He speaks into her mind and I hear it.~Hello, love. Is everything okay? ~She sends a questioning emotion back, along with a general sense of wellbeing.

~Did she feel us pass out? It just occurred to me they might not have known what was going on. ~

He seems to ponder this for a moment, then speaks to Talia.~Deli and I—we drained each other completely. ~

Talia sends a wave of shocked emotions and irritation that rolls over both of us. He tries to calm her.~Shhh, love. It’s okay, hush. ~A flurry of images and emotions flash so quickly that neither he nor I can make them out, and he snaps. ~Damn it, woman, slow down! You know I can’t… ~

The images halt and she clamps the emotions a bit, sending a few more rapid images before the connection closes. He turns and grins sheepishly.~Um, she’s… ~

~I’d say that’s a ‘no’. ~

~She’s coming. Put something on. ~

~Oh, bloody hell. ~I groan, peeling myself off the bed, staggering a little as I go to the closet. Pulling on one of his shirts, I come back over, collapsing on the bed and look over at him.~I should see what Boneless is thinking; give me a sec. ~

He nods, rolling off the bed and shuffling to the closet to pull on pajama bottoms. Looking shaky, he drops back onto the bed, his expression troubled, presumably by Talia’s response.

I turn onto my back as the mattress dips with his weight, reaching inside and finding the right cord to tug on.~Hello, love. ~His response rumbles through me and it makes me smile.~Um, so did you notice anything out of the ordinary today? ~

His response is harsh and sarcastic, making me wince.

Wrinkling my nose, I shoot back.~No need to get bitchy. I didn’t plan it. Yeah, we did! Duh. You can kiss my... You didn’t tell—okay. Calm down. She’s fine. I’m fine. He’s fine. Chill out. Jesus, take one of Philomena’s blue pills. Yeah, Talia is on her—no. I don’t think you need to—damnit, I said no. We’re freaking fine. Don’t bring—please listen? ~Stopping as he cuts me off, my head flops back down and I roll over, burying my face in Taurus’ chest.

He looks down at me, eyebrows raised.~You know, when I said I wanted to meet your family, I didn't expect this. He’s on his way, eh? ~

Scratching my head, I whisper, “I’m not sure who’s coming; he wasn’t clear. He’s usually not that worked up.”

He caresses my side. “It’ll be alright.”

“I know,” I smile and curl into his side, purring.
