Kyril looked pissed. And also tired.
I’d not seen him since before I went to London. He went home shortly before I left campus and although he’d texted me many times, I stopped replying after the scene in the cafeteria.
There were too many secrets between us, and as much as I cared for him, he’d be better off steering clear of me. Our fathers didn’t have a cordial relationship. The few times my father mentioned Vasily Orliov, it was mostly accompanied by curse words.
If he heard I’d been sleeping with Vasily’s heir apparent, he’d probably lose his shit.
“I don’t like being ignored,kotenok.”
His eyes narrowed to slits at my disdainful expression. “It’s called being ghosted, Kyril. Learn the lingo.”
For a big bastard, Kyril was surprisingly light on his feet. He was on me before I could react. Or maybe I’d lost my edge. It was hard to tell.
His hand gripped my throat as he pressed me against the edge of the counter.
“You belong to me. There’s no escape, kotenok.Try it and see how long it takes me to track you down.”
“Have you chipped me like a dog?”
He pressed his nose into the curve of my neck and inhaled. If anyone else did such a creepy thing, I’d knife them. But when Kyril did it, it smacked of possession and obsession, and I was here for that.
He pulled back a fraction and smirked at me. “That’s not a bad idea. I’ll put it on my to-do list for when youghostme again.”
“Try it and I’ll kill you,” I growled.
“Cute.” He stroked my cheek and smiled, which irritated the fuck out of me. Did he no longer see me as a threat?
Before I could overthink it, I punched him hard in the sternum, temporarily knocking the air from his chest. His eyes widened in surprise. He’d not expected me to fight back.
“Not so cute now, eh?” I smirked, shoving him back while he fought for air.
To my surprise, he recovered a lot faster than I expected. Before I could leave the room, he grabbed my wrist and hauled me back into his arms.
“That was…mean,” he spluttered after a few more moments.
“Well-deserved, though.”
He half-laughed, half-coughed in response, and despite my annoyance at his overbearing attitude, I grinned.
“You like it when I fight you,” I observed. His erection was kind of hard to miss.
The way his smile turned feral told me all I needed to know. Of course he liked it. He was as fucked up as me.
“The more you fight me, the harder it makes me,kotenok. So go ahead, fight back some more. It’s been way too long since I felt your tight little pussy squeeze my cock. And I’m done waiting.”
“This is a faculty bathroom,” I deadpanned, even though my body clenched at the idea of him taking me hard. He was right. It had been way too long. Had I become a sex addict? It sure felt like it.
His eyebrow shot up. “And?”
“Pretty sure being caught having sex in a faculty bathroom counts as misconduct as per the student handbook.”
Kyril snorted. “Like I give a fuck. The college can’t expel me. My father would never allow that. He wants me to get a college degree so I can be a better, stronger pakhan.” From the derisive way he said that last bit, he wasn’t his father’s number one fan.
I could relate.
