“How you feeling?” Toxic asked, sitting next to me.

“Impatient,” I muttered.

“Bitchy,” Lockout said at the same time.

My stare turned into a scowl. Toxic choked on a laugh. “Why so pissed off, princess?” he asked.

“I want to go kill Randal.”

Lock nodded. “I figured you would.”

“That a good idea with his side looking like Swiss cheese?” Hell asked.

“It’s only one bullet hole,” I told him. “So not exactly Swiss.”

“Close enough,” Ricochet replied. “Hey, maybe we shove a tampon in there and load him up on Midol. Then he’ll be ready to go.”

“Fuck off.”

“I don’t think we have a few weeks for him to heal,” Lock answered. “Glitch found him in Belize.”

“Belize?” Hush asked. “Why there?”

“Why not?” Priest asked.

“It’s non extraditable,” Rip said, answering their questions. “Even if we managed to convince some government agency to go after him, they couldn’t.”

“Like we’d do that,” I said with a snort of derision. “We’re going after him.”

“We can’t just show up in force,” Lock told me. “We’re going to need to fly under the radar with this one.”

“I’ll go alone,” I said with a shrug.

“Not happening,” he replied with a shake of his head.

“I’ll go with him,” Toxic offered.

I shot him a grateful look. None of my brothers needed to do this with me. This wasn’t their fight.

“We’ll all go,” Hush said.

“We can’tallleave the country,” Priest told him, giving me an apologetic look. “That’s too damn risky for our families.”

“The assassins are dead,” Smoke pointed out.

“The five that were willing to come after us,” Lock said. “What about the others? They might not want to face us directly, but could put out a contract to kidnap our women and kids. Priest is right. Leaving our families to travel so far away isn’t smart.”

“So, I’ll go alone,” I said again. “I appreciate that you’re all willingto fight with me,” I told them. “It means more...more than I know how to express. But I’m not willing to let anything happen to your families.”

“I have an idea,” Lock stated. “I already spoke to Cypher. He has a private jet that can get you into the country easy enough. Scythe and Warrant have offered to go along. Cypher would send more of his guys, but he’s got them all out on assignments.”

“And me. I’m going, too,” Toxic said, voice firm.

“And Isla,” I added. “She’ll fucking gut me if I try to leave her behind.”

The others chuckled at that and Lockout nodded. “A small team will work better. You get in. Kill Randal, then get the fuck home.”

“Why not have the Berserkers watch our families and us go?” Hush asked.
