“Fuck,” he groans as he collapses on top of me.
I smile as I giggle softly when he wraps his arms around me and clutches me to him.
“You’re like a nice warm blanket,” I say dreamily.
He rolls off to the side and tucks me into him.
“I hope you don’t have anywhere to go, because I’m not sure that I want to let you go.”
“I’m okay with that,” I breathe. “Is there anyone else here?”
“No, there shouldn’t be.”
“I need coffee and food,” I smile as I roll out of the bed and walk out of the room.
He jumps up to follow.
“I can get used to seeing you walking naked around my house.”
“Oh yeah?” I tease.
He smacks my butt as he hurries in front of me and down the steps. I burst out laughing as he heads to the kitchen, shaking my head in disbelief at just how perfect this night has been so far.
“Spend the day with me.”
“We’ll see,” I tease as he begins making coffee.
We can’t keep our hands off each other, so we kiss and touch as much as possible. We spend the day lost in each other's arms, talking, teasing, kissing, and touching every chance we get.
It’s like a fairy tale that I hope never ends. I’ve never connected this way with anyone before.
On Sunday night, we’re sitting on the couch, snuggled against each other, when the front door opens, and a dark-headed woman strolls into the house.
“Theo?” she calls out. “That place was a bust; can I stay here again?”
He stiffens before he looks down at me quickly. “I helped out a friend of a friend and she doesn’t want to leave. I’ll be right back.”
He stands just as the woman comes into the room. Her face drops, and tears fill her eyes as she glares at Theo and me.
I would have seen somewhere that he’s dating someone, right?
“Who is this bitch?” she sneers.
“How did you get in?”
“The key. I live here, remember? Or did you forget you had a girlfriend while you were no doubt fucking this whore.”
“Girlfriend?” Theo and I gasp at the same time.
“You’re not my girlfriend,” Theo growls. “Knock it off, Alexia. I told you that I wasn’t interested and that this couldn’t be anything.”
“Bull shit,” she hisses as she gets up in his face. “Tell the bitch to leavemyhouse.”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t know,” I say quickly as I jump off the couch.
I sprint up the stairs to get my things.
“Grace, no!” Theo calls out as he rushes after me.
