“Well, he couldn’t have died there.”

“What do you mean? You weren’t even born yet. How could you know that?”

Torrin took a deep breath, then began loading the ship once again. “Taeger said I found my father’s armor. And his sword, Loratha; Mover of Mountains. If my father died on Lumeria, his armor and sword would have been destroyed along with everything else. Instead, I found it on Cappra.”

“Are you saying your father is somehow still alive?”

A slow, thoughtful smile spread across his face. “I believe there’s a chance. I have to find my brother. Go back to Earth. Look for more clues. But then?”

“I’m with you all the way,” Juliette said, her heart full of joy.
