“Was I unclear?”

He stares up at the ceiling, mumbles something to his dear Lord, and pierces me with a stare. I’m impressed with the show of dominance in his glare.

“Yes?” I prompt.

“Tell me everything right now, Sidone. Or I’m gonna lose my shit.”

Gross.“Don’t lose your waste. Hold it in there. I’ll clarify. We will hang the head from the balcony, and the next time the yacht comes, they will see it. Perhaps come after whoever killed their pet human.”

“You’re drawing attention to yourself?”

“Mm-hm.”

“Why?”

“I don’t feel like swimming around the ocean looking for a boat. The boat needs to come to me.”

“You’re drawing those males to you because you don’t like to swim.”

“In a nutshell.”

The Omega purses his lips. “Okay, Sidone. I brought more ammo from the house.”

“Great thinking. I like it.”

Lights flicker at the Omega’s command, and he proceeds to the balcony. “The rope?” He extends a hand.

I unbraid my belt and pass him what is now one long rope.

Kade takes it and ties it around the head, then hangs it from the balcony. Sweat beads his forehead and upper lip. He wipes it with his shirt, showing me his abdominal muscle structure. It’s impressive. I feel his bicep. “You’re built well,” I tell him.

“I work out.”

“I have no idea what that means.”

“Lift weights.” He removes his shirt and flexes his muscles, a small smile playing on his face.

“Well-built indeed.” I head back out.

“Whoa, where are you going?” he asks.

At the door, I turn, and he runs into me, body pressed against mine, effectively pinning me. If this were an Alpha male, my armor would rise, and I’d take this as a challenge. But this Omega only makes my pussy flutter. I trail a claw down his chest and abdominals, stopping at the waistband. “Need to evacuate the hotel.”

“I’ll do it,” he says.

“It’s best if I go.”

“You should get some sleep.”

He looks out for me. I want to melt. Instead, I twirl my hair, a purr rising in my chest. I get out of his way and open the door. “Make sure any humans who refuse to evacuate understand I will kill anyone who stands between me and my kill. When the enemy comes, and if the owner chooses to stay, he or she is to escort the party to our room so they don’t get lost. Clear?”

“What if a small army comes? What, then?”

“Ooooo, don’t tease.”
