“What?”

“You will tell me something valuable for each chunk of meat I carve out of you. The bigger the information, the bigger the chunk. If I think the information is as big as your life, I’ll kill you fast. I hope you know just a tiny bit of what I need so that I may do this nice and slow.”

Miyo’s claws click as he descends the wooden steps.

Travis wastes urine on himself. “I don’t know where the king is hiding. I swear.”

He means the imposter who named himself King of Earth. “I believe you.” Travis isn’t worthy of this kind of information. No self-respecting Regha Alpha would entrust his life to this weasel. “Who is your contact? Name the male who spoke with my Omega when she called your number.”

“That’s one of the king’s sons. The look-alike one.”

“The abominations can’t speak.”

“This one does. Drools and twitches, but he speaks, thinks. An early batch of males.”

Good Serpent. A batch of males. “A name?”

Travis shakes his head. “They don’t get one. He just calls them his sons.”

“You’ve met thisking?” I bark.

“Once.”

“Where?”

Travis glares. “Call off your dog.”

“Tsk tsk tsk. Let the fun begin.” Chunk by chunk, I feed Travis to Miyo, until the man tells me everything he knows.

Chapter 21

Tabby

It’s midnight, and my birthday party seems to have just gotten started. The prince hasn’t moved in yet, primarily because Omegas occupy the former mayor’s home. But I still got it as a venue for my delayed party. The housed women are enjoying the music and drinks and mingling with the Regha males, though not the Collectors, who wear uniforms with red capes and look murderous as they patrol the grounds.

In the den, away from music and people, Arkin throws back the chair and stretches out his body, then tucks me into his side. He’s doing a fine job pretending he’s relaxing while scanning the pool area for Alphas who need their head armor cracked.

Two days ago, since Travis’s capture, Arkin seems more alert than before, when I would’ve expected the opposite. Often, he checks the beach entrance of the property and even has guards strolling the shores well beyond the house. Since the prince’s return, Arkin spends more time in the Stronghold. “Travis is no more” was all I heard about my former lawyer. The only thing I had to do was pay the woman who spotted him. I hope my million gives her a great future.

The prince joins us in the den and pulls up a chair, sitting with a grunt. The moon hits the yellow serpent tattoo on the side of his face and makes him look more menacing. He stares straight ahead, and I follow his gaze to the king and Dreikx, who are chatting by the refreshments stand.

“He won’t leave,” the prince says, I presume to Arkin, so I lay my cheek against Arkin’s chest and tap it. He purrs low. I can barely hear, but it’s enough to make my pussy clench. When liquid threatens to spill, I press my legs together.

Arkin chuckles, making his purr rough and ragged, the one he releases when he fucks me slowly. I bite my lip.

“Anna left early?” Arkin asks.

I interrupt. “Loyette is having babies. So exciting. I can’t wait to get one.”

The prince looks annoyed. “Loyette is delivering in my bedroom.”

“Your bedroom?” Arkin asks.

“Anna made the hound a nest, and now I sleep with hounds.”

Arkin chuckles.

My pussy drips, and I rub my thighs together, the familiar burn developing low in my belly.Uh-oh.
