"Is one of the bedrooms going to be a library?"

I grinned. "Maybe. We could even have a basement outfitted with a gym for you. I know how you like to use the one here.” Over the past few days I had watched him work out more than once in the massive gym Andro had. That was a sight I wouldn’t mind making a regular occurrence.

Trev’s lips pursed as he considered my words. He had always been protective of this family and the Ferrini business, but it was clear that he understood my desire for something more simple and intimate.

Finally, we were having a mature conversation about our future together, one that had been brewing beneath the surface for some time now.

“I want that too,” he said. “We may be here more often than not, but a space all to ourselves would be amazing.”

I grinned. “Great. So I can finally share the listings I’ve been saving!”

Trev let out a laugh, and his head dropped so that his nose was buried in my neck. He nipped over my bite mark, and my body instantly responded. “What am I going to do with you?”

“I have some ideas–” Before I could voice them out loud, Trev’s phone rang.

He got up and grabbed it. The bed instantly became cold now that he was gone.

“Andro, is something wrong?”

I couldn’t hear the other end of the conversation, instead I took this as my cue to get up and start my day. I had house tours to organize on top of the homework I had to finish.

After a moment, Trev followed me into the bathroom. “That was Andro. Dr. Nindy is waiting for us in the hospital room.”

I raised a brow. “So soon?”

“Apparently after you ran out of dinner, he made some calls. They all had the same thought that we had–you’re likely pregnant.”

I bit my lip. “It's morning. If I was sick, wouldn’t I have morning sickness?” I didn’t wish to get my hopes up only to have themdashed when the tests didn’t come out the way we wanted them to.

“Let’s talk to the doctor before we make any assumptions.”

Dr. Nindy was an omega pregnancy specialist whom Andro had on the business payroll. According to Joey, once he became pregnant, Andro went overboard preparing their home for prenatal care and the birth.

I suppose the investment paid off, since five Ferrini babies had been born in the house. With no signs of slowing down, since Joey was expecting his second and I had a feeling Connor wouldn’t be far behind.

“Welcome,” Dr. Nindy said as she opened the door to the hospital room. She wore teal scrubs and her dark hair was pulled back into a tight bun.

Trev put his hand on the small of my back as we stepped into the second-floor bedroom turned hospital room. It had once been two rooms with a shared bathroom, but the wall had been removed to open up the space. The light blue walls made the space warm and inviting, and the large hospital bed at least looked comfortable. There was a rocking chair and sofa as well.

“Do you have any questions before we get started?” she asked.

I shook my head. “Can I do a test? I don’t know for sure if I am pregnant, and I just want to know.”

She smiled, and the kindness in her eyes set me at ease. “Absolutely.” She grabbed a box off the counter and handedit to me. “Take this. The bathroom is over there. Follow the instructions. You can wait for the results on your own, or bring the test out here for your mate to see with you.”

Trev gave me an encouraging smile, and I went to the bathroom. Excitement and trepidation warred inside of me, making my stomach churn.

The test was easy enough. Once I was done, I put the cap on the test and held it so I couldn’t see the results window. I left the bathroom.

Trev stood from where he was sitting, his eyes hopeful but reserved.

I held the test out to him and pinched my eyes closed. “I can’t look. You tell me what it is.”

“Are you sure?” he asked.

I nodded, keeping my eyes closed.

He took the test from my hand, and I waited with bated breath. “Well?”
