Fuck.

“Oh no, wasn’t me.” I run my hand down my face. I quickly finish up my shower, shut off the water, and dry off. I walk out of the bathroom and find her sitting on the edge of the bed.

“Good morning, pixie.”

“Morning.” Her eyes trail my body.

“Like what you see?”

“I don’t hate it.” Her mouth quirks into a sexy grin and my dick twitches underneath my towel. She stands and moves past me toward the bathroom. “You sure you didn’t call out my name?” she asks, pausing in the doorway.

“Yeah, wasn’t me.”

“So weird, I could have sworn…” Her voice trails off behind the door as it closes behind her and I have to silence the laugh threatening to break free. The shower turns on and that’s my cue. I head back to my original room to throw on clothes and then head downstairs.

I type London Fog into the search bar and begin collecting the ingredients from around the kitchen. I follow each step precisely—making sure it’s perfect—and when I’m finished I head back upstairs to Lacey’s room.

I gently knock on the door and enter. She’s moving around the room packing her suitcase and she turns to face me.

“What’s that?” she asks, eyeing the mug.

“A London Fog.”

“You made me my drink?” Her eyebrow hitches slightly. She walks over and takes it from me.

“It’s the first one I’ve ever made, so I hope it’s good.” She takes a large sip and lets out a sound that makes my cock harden instantly.

“It’s perfect, J,” she says, taking another sip and letting out another moan.Fuck.

“Good,” I manage to choke out. “I’m going to go get packed up.” I turn quickly and walk out the door. Tanner is laying on his bed scrolling on his phone when I walk in our room.

“Did you really sleep downstairs last night?” he asks.

“No.”

He looks up from his phone screen and sits up in bed. “Well if you weren’t in here and you weren’t down there, where the hell did you sleep?”

“In a bed.”

“Which bed?”

“Lacey’s.”

“Dude, you slept with her?” His voice is loud and I gesture for him to lower his voice. “You slept with her?” he repeats in a whisper.

“We shared a bed, but that’s it.”

“Dude!”

“It’s not what you think. She found me miserable in the living room and took pity on her friend.”

He rolls his eyes and shakes his head. “So what’s step one in getting her back?”

“Already in action. I made her favorite drink this morning and brought it upstairs for her to drink while she packed.” I smile to myself. Two days ago I had no idea what her favorite drink was, but this morning I learned how to make it. The sound she made when she took a sip from the mug replays in my head and I try to shake it away.God, what I’d give to hear it again.

“I think we’re going to need to do better than that.” Tanner’s eyes look ridiculous and he pulls out his phone. His fingers are moving a mile a minute.

“What are you doing?”
