Chapter Eleven
Jordan
“Are you going to tell me where we’re going?” I say as I put the leash on Beast.
Owen smiles at me and shakes his head. “Nope. It’s a reward for all your hard work though. I’ve taken the weekend off.” Since my punishment a few weeks earlier, I’ve been on track and doing well again. No more slip-ups from me.
“Off? Like totally off?”
He smiles. “Yes, off. No disciplining anyone, no legal stuff, nothing. I’m spending the whole weekend with my baby.”
“No discipline?” I ask with raised brows and his head cocks to the side.
“That’s right, baby. Unless you earn some.” He smirks and leans down to kiss my nose.
“And you’re sure it’s okay we bring Beast.”
He narrows his eyes at me. I can tell he sees through my ploy to get more information.
“Behave, little girl.” His chin dips low and his eyes find mine as he reaches around me to clap his hand lightly off my jean-clad backside.
“Yes, Daddy.” I smirk and lick my lips.
“Head down to the car,” he says. “I’ll be right behind you.”
I pout, not wanting to be away from him for even a moment.
“Get moving, baby girl.” His brow arches when my pout deepens. He takes one step toward me and I burst out laughing as I scramble out the door.
“Catch me if you can, old man!” I make it all the way to the elevators, with Beast barking shrilly with joy, before I stop to catch my breath. Have I ever had this much fun with anyone?
I’m still smiling as I walk out of the building to the patch of grass near the parking garage. “Do your thing, doggie,” I say and look away to give him privacy.
It’s a gorgeous day and the light breeze feels amazing against my face. Beast barks one of his happy barks but before I can turn, I feel the swat on my butt and an arm clamps around my waist, picking me up and spinning me around.
Owen’s mouth goes to my ear and he growls. The deep sound and the feel of his hot breath and slight whisker growth sends shivers up my spin and scattering across my belly. “You deserve a spanking for that, woman.”
“Good thing we’re in public,” I say cheekily and he narrows his eyes at me.
“You think I won’t?” My smile suddenly freezes. He wouldn’t, would he? I squeal when he spins me, drops a bag he has tossed over his shoulder, and gives me three smacks on my butt, and then kisses me hard on the mouth.
“Mmm, that was really nice,” I say, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I could get used to this.”
“So you should. You’re my girl.” His words make my chest burst with effervescent bubbles of excitement. The dog jumps up onto two legs and spins. “Okay, Beast, we’re going.” He takes my hand and we head to his car. The feel of our fingers entwined sends lightning bolts of electric titillation through me. I’m Owen Holloway’s girl!
I love looking out the window with the pup on my lap as we drive. The sunroof is open and it’s a little too noisy to talk but not uncomfortable. Owen’s hand is on my knee and it’s warm and comforting. We’ve been driving for a few hours and I still have no idea where we’re going but I’m happy he wants it to be a surprise. I’ve always loved surprises.
When Owen pulls into the driveway of a beach house, I turn to him with a questioning look.
“We’re staying here for the weekend. Just you, me...” He pauses, feigning a look of resentment at the dog. “And Beast.” I cuddle the dog closer and the little guy licks my cheek. “Look at you two, thick as thieves.” The pup struggles in my arms to get to Owen and when he succeeds, he bathes Owen’s face in doggie kisses.
“He’s telling you you’re just as loved as I am,” I say with a giggle, watching Owen wipe his face off with a scowl. As soon as he’s done, I twist in my seat and lunge at him, kissing his face all over. He chuckles, mumbles ‘gross’ but then ensnares me in his arms kissing me back. His kiss is no peck either. It makes my neck weak and my middle throb.
I’m still reeling from his smooch when I see Beast looking expectantly at Owen and I burst out laughing.
“Oh, hell no, dog!” he says and we both get out of the car. The dog jumps out after him, barks, gets up on his hind legs and spins. “Not even if you do a triple axel flip. Uh uh.”
“Sorry, pup,” I say and reach into my purse for a treat. Beast takes it gently and eats delicately.
