I kissed her, a sweet touch of lips. “You have me, baby. Ask Levi. I can be an awesome friend.”

Her fingertips on my bare back made a liar out of me. I breathed in the scent of her hair. Her soft breasts pressed into my chest, her curves fitting perfectly to me.

“You should go.”

“I don’t want to, but I’m not going to beg you to feel something for me.” She turned and left.

“Fuck!” Not feel something? I felt too fucking much.

I finished getting dressed and waited a few minutes, making sure Pippa wouldn’t be hovering anywhere nearby. Then I strode down the hall and left the MC through the side door.

The day was already warm. Sunshine burned off the morning haze. It was a perfect day for a ride. Wind whipped my face. The road blurred as I lost myself in the freedom of the ride. Nothing felt as good as riding my bike…

Nothinghadfelt as good until Pippa.

I pulled up to the small red brick house with white shutters and a white picket fence. Levi’s compact yellow car sat in the driveway. I rested my bike behind it, dropped my helmet on the handlebar, and jogged up to the porch. With a few knocks, I rattled the wooden screen door and let myself in.

“Mom, it’s just me.”

Levi’s mom, technically her grandma, Willow came from the kitchen. She didn’t look much like a grandma. In high school, she was definitely on the MILF menu for most of the guys. For me, she was just Levi’s mom.

Levi’s sperm-doner dad was serving life and her waste of a real mom had a twenty-five year stretcharound her neck. Levi understood the shit I was feeling with my dad locked up. At least, I still had a chance he’d be coming home.

“How’s Henry?” I asked.

“He’s the Bear.” Henry was part of the MC, but his job on the oil pipelines had him away more than around. With the exception of patching us up when shit went sideways, Willow didn’t spend much time at the clubhouse while he was away. She was a nurse and worked long hours. I had no idea if she kept randoms on the side like Faye. She wasn’t married to Bear, but she’d been his old lady as long as I’d known them. That made Levi one of us.

“Levi is in her room.”

I strode down the short hall in the two-bedroom bungalow. The door to her room was ajar. I pushed it open and launched onto her bed. Levi sat on the floor in front of a large mirror doing her girl stuff. Makeup spread across the carpet.

“What’s up?” she asked running a flat iron through her hair.

“I need you.” I growled and dug the heels of my palms into my eyes. “Want to catch a movie or something?”

She met my gaze in the mirror. Her lips twisted. “I’m sorry. I can’t.” Those lips smiled. “I have a date.”

I jackknifed to sitting. “The fuck you do. With who?”

“Just a guy from school. Before you ask, there is nothing to tell. I haven’t even kissed him.” One of her perfectly arched brows lifted. “But I can’t say the same for you and Pippa.”

“You’re not referring to her as ‘the slut.’”

“I know. She’s still a slut, but I can’t hate her. Besides, you and Romeo like her. I thought you were a threesome now.” There was still a touch of annoyance in her words.

I groaned and flopped back to the bed. “You know I can’t do this.”

“Not every girl is your mom. You can’t set girls up to cheat, and when they do, punish them.”

“I don’t set them up to cheat, but eventually, they all do.”

“She isn’t cheating on you when she’s with Romeo.”

“I know, but how would you feel if you finally had Romeo, connected, and thought he felt the connection, too, then after your world fucking exploded because he turned to Pippa, smiled, and connected with her. You were nothing special. Just another orgasm.”

“I’d feel like you do. That’s why they’re both sluts. It’s why it doesn’t matter how I feel about Romeo. He’d have to change for me, and he won’t. He goes downtown on girls like public transportation. Every twenty minutes with a new passenger.”

That was fucking funny.
