“That woman was something else.” Taylor shook her head, obviously reminiscing on the friend she lost.
“She definitely had her secrets.” Sammy spoke up again.

“Aunt Sarah, did you find anything?” Cara whispered as she rejoined her aunt in the formal dining room of Calista’s home.
“I think so.” She turned and looked at Cara who was holding the old scary painting they had hung on the wall the last time they were in this house.
Cara set the painting down and sat on the floor next to her aunt who had removed a loose floorboard.

“What do you mean Sammy?” Harley asked with a confused expression on her face.
“I mean, I tend to notice things others don’t and she definitely was hiding something behind those gorgeous eyes. We all knew she wasn’t the most loyal wife.” Edie cringed thinking of her brother. Sammy continued, “I just feel like there was something more.”
“You know, when I first met her, there was a weird interaction between us.” All of the women were staring at Taylor intently. “Tim had hired me to redecorate their home. I was doing a walkthrough with Calista and noticed a floorboard that didn’t look like it was set quite right. I was going to reach for it and Calista quickly redirected me somewhere else. I didn’t find it really odd until now . . .”

“What’s in there?” Cara’s curiosity peaked.
“I don’t know. I haven’t pulled anything out yet.”
“How did you find it?”
“I literally stumbled upon it. It was loose and I tripped as I was walking through here.”
“Well come on Aunt Sarah! Let’s find out what’s been hiding underneath the floor.”
Sarah took the small compact flashlight out of her pocket and lit up the dark hole. She reached her hand inside and began pulling things out.

“Well this is my stop.” Edie smiled and got out of the limo. “I had a wonderful time ladies!” She blew kisses to all of the women. She turned around with a disgusted look on her face and began walking up the staircase to her house.
Once inside, Edie felt a chill. Something didn’t feel right. Edie pulled the gun out that was holstered to her side. She held it by her thigh and began walking through the house. There was no one here. Edie relaxed a little and found herself standing in the formal dining room. She hadn’t known about a loose floorboard, but it didn’t take long to find it. The piece of floorboard was lifted. It looked like it had been messed with and someone had tried to put it back in a hurry. Someone had been in the house.
