“Brielle what?”
“Brielle is the lucky bitch that gets to call herself his wife. Ugh, I am so jealous.”
Edie’s face must have shown her confusion because Parker immediately asked her what was wrong. Was she going crazy? Parker snapped her fingers and pulled Edie from her thoughts.
“Sweetie? Are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah. I just thought . . . oh nothing.” Edie distracted herself by looking at the steaks again.
Parker’s grin grew larger. She was intrigued by whatever it was Edie was so confused about. “Well what is it? I can see you’ve got something on your mind.”
“Tucker wasn’t married before was he?” Edie picked up a steak and placed it in her cart.
Parker’s eyebrow lifted. “Not that I’m aware of, but I’m just as new to this group as you are. That might be a question for the other women. You thinking of becoming wife number two?” Parker smirked.
“No. Well it was nice seeing you Parker.” Edie began pushing her cart away with a blank stare on her face.
Parker hollered after her. “Hey! Are you going to the dinner party?”
Edie simply shook her head yes and waved goodbye to her neighbor.
