“I don’t know many women who chill at clubs with their exes.”
Her smile turned smug. “That really bothered you. I’m almost flattered.”
“You being with him tonight doesn’t bother me, but you being with him and having sex with me does. That’s not my thing.”
“Right, you’re more of a man who demands that his dick be prioritized.”
I nodded.
“I was working tonight. The line was incredibly long and I didn’t want to wait. Thankfully I didn’t have to. Hef is Neshawn’s cousin so he got me in VIP. I have the photos I need and made a grand for ten minutes of work and an hour of my time.”
I took her in, with a slow drag from her face down her body. Her clothes were fitted and her purse was little as hell. There was no way she had a camera hidden anywhere on her body. At least not one that would capture quality photos.
“Where’s your camera?”
“My purse. Phones are underrated when it comes to high quality photos. If you know what you’re doing, they can produce images that compete with the most expensive high-end cameras.” The way her eyes brightened almost made me smile. She loved this shit.
“Why didn’t you use your phone at the fights?”
“Because I prefer my cameras. They’re just not always practical, pending the situation.”
“By situation you mean when you’re invading someone’s privacy.”
Her eyes narrowed. “There’s no privacy for what others do in the public eye.”
“True but that doesn’t mean you want someone cataloging your every move just because they can. Who did you get photos of?”
“Yara.”
“The singer?”
Saniya nodded. “She was in the section across from the one I was in.”
“Dipped off in the back which meant she wanted to keep what she was doing private.”
“She wanted to keepwhoshe was with private but better it’s me than someone else.”
“You’re putting her shit on blast. How do you figure you’re any better than the next?”
“I won’t hand over the photos to the outlet that paid me until the morning. By then, she’ll be gone, which means no one else can pull up. There won't be a media show or ten million horrible photos of her dodging angles of people taking unflattering shots and videos. When the ones I’ve captured go live, she’ll be safe and cozy in her bed and she looks so fucking hot in the shots I have she won’t be upset.”
“Your logic is fucking twisted.” I laughed lightly.
“Maybe but I’m respected because of how I do things. There are plenty of people in the same space I’m in who are constantly looking over their shoulders and can’t show their faces at reputable events because of how disrespectfully they move.”
Her eyes darted around my place then landed on Raiden’s bike in the corner. I tensed remembering that it was there.
“I have a son,” I said, staring at her until she turned her eyes back to me. When curious eyes met mine, they softened.
“I know,” she said quietly. “Well I knew you had a kid.”
When I frowned she added, “I looked you up.”
“Then why are you here? You already know my story, Saniya.”
“I want to knowyou, not just your story.”
“Why?”
