When he pulls his fingers out of me, Barrett leans down to whisper in my ear. "Make that mouth of yours useful and clean yourself off of him."
Kyler shoves his fingers into my mouth, and I close my lips around them, doing exactly what he asked. All I care about is pleasing them.
"That’s our good girl," Kyler says in approval before pulling his fingers out of my mouth. Shivers course through my body, and Seb clears his throat, bringing our attention back to him.
I watch him adjust himself in his seat. "If you're finished, do you think we can get back to figuring this all out now?"
"You could have joined in." I toss back, not giving a single fuck whether it will upset him or not. I can tell he wants to indulge, but he's still being stubborn.
I stand up and turn to kiss Barrett in a silent thank you before grabbing my clothes to dress myself.
"Leave them," Seb says just as I bend down, and my eyebrow shoots up. "You were so determined to get naked and slut yourself out; why bother putting the clothes back on?"
His words were meant to hurt me, but they don't. He's not going to get the upper hand this time. I stand up, smile, and walk back over to sit my bare ass in the empty chair I started this meeting in.
"Great, now can we focus back on how we are going to handle these coordinates? Also, what do you want to do about Damien and Rogue? Surely they aren't going to just blindly accept you stepping away," Seb throws out for us.
"I haven't really thought about that," I admit.
These are all valid questions that I only have partial answers to right now, even though I know we need to figure out. I want to kill Damien for what he did to me. An overwhelming sense of unease washes over me as I let some of the feelings in. As long as I'm alive, Rogue may come after me. If it's not Damien, it could be another member of the council. Just like with the Stones, they won’t let me walk away. Kyler senses my trepidation and looks over at me with a look of sympathy.
"Let's focus on one issue at a time," Kyler suggests, and I'm grateful for him.
"Yeah, one issue at a time seems like the easiest way to go about this. Based on the research I did, we know the coordinates lead to a cabin. We just don't know what's in that cabin," Barrett says, looking over at me.
Barrett was able to get access to a satellite that shows pictures of the land with a cabin on it. I'm not sure why it doesn't show on the typical search of the coordinates. Maybe my father blackmailed someone enough to have it scrubbed from existence becausethat sounds exactly like something he would do. I'm still amazed at Barrett's hacking abilities sometimes.
"We don't know what we're looking for or what's inside the cabin. I'm willing to bet it has something to do with all the names in the notebook," I say as Barrett stands to walk over to the laptop on the desk Seb is sitting behind.
"This is what I was able to find," Barrett says.
Seb vacates his seat and stands next to me. His proximity makes me hyper-aware of my naked body. He rests his hand on the back of my chair, and desire flows through me. I can't let him see how he affects me, so I straighten my back and focus my attention back on Barrett.
"The cabin is in a vacant area of land with one road in and one road out. It should be pretty easy for us to get to. I’ll monitor the satellite images to ensure there aren't any new developments. From what I've seen so far, there is no activity. We should be able to drive right up and scope it out with no issues. If we do run into any unexpected turns though, that’s what backup plans are for."'
We continue to piece together our plan for the cabin to try and figure out exactly what my father is hiding there. What if this is all a ruse, and we show up to an empty cabin?
"You're sure there's nothing you missed?" I wearily ask.
"Wanderer, Barrett has been researching our missions for years. He's got it covered. Unless you've been distracting him too much." Kyler chuckles.
"She definitely hasn't been distracting me enough." Barrett looks over at me with a mischievous grin that makes my cheeks flush and sends fire straight to my bones.
"Can we finish this up without you guys fucking again? Do we need to exclude Callie from these meetings going forward so we can actually get shit done?" Sebastian grits.
"Technically, we didn’t fuck." I shrug.
"I don't know what else there is to go over. The basics are all figured out." Barrett says.
"Wait, what if there's nothing there?" I ask tentatively.
"It has to have some kind of significance, or he wouldn't have written it down. Worst-case scenario, we show up to another clue that sends us somewhere else. Stop worrying so much, princess."
"I'm just nervous. The last job I did with you didn't go as planned," I confess.
"Yeah, I think we all remember the last time Callie took the lead on a job," Seb throws out, and my blood runs cold.
I'm sure he meant it as a joke because I was just talking about it, but it strikes a nerve. I stand up and grab my clothes, putting them on quickly before turning to glare at him. "Throw that in my face again, I dare you."
