Page 60 of What If I Knew You

I’m ashamed to say I’ve gotten used it over the years.

Maybe I should text Corri and see if she wants to get together.

And say what? Hey, you don’t know that I’m a pro hockey player but I am and I won my game tonight and scored a goal and now I have all this adrenaline and really don’t want to endup alone at home with my dick in my fist so how about we get together for a playdate?

Get real, Bodhi.

Corri’s not a plaything and she’s not mine to play with whenever I want.

She’s a teacher. A tutor. A mentor.

She’s doing me a huge favor.

I won’t take advantage of that no matter how much I’ve thought about her body since the moment I left her apartment.

“Bodhi? What about you?”

“Yeah, I guess so. I don’t have any other plans.”

“No hot sex girl tonight?” Griffin wags his brows.

“Nope.”

“How did you not have her on standby tonight? That’s poor planning, Pickle Pants.”

“First of all, she doesn’t know I’m a hockey player. And I’m pretty sure it’s not normal to just call someone like her late on a Saturday night and ask her if we can fuck around.”

“I disagree.” He shakes his head, the corner of his mouth turning up. “That is, in fact, the exact definition of a booty call.”

“Well, she’s not a call girl. She’s a friend and if I have any chance of learning how to pleasure a woman, I want to stay on her good side.”

August nods. “Her good side. Would that be the front of her or the back of her?”

Griffin laughs. “Yeah man. The tits or the ass?”

For a minute I consider not answering them but since they’re both staring at me and waiting to hear what I’m going to say, I swallow my pride and tell them, “All of the above. Her body is…everything. Perfect tits(that fit wonderfully in my hands) and perfect ass(that I can grab on to).”

Fuck. I wish I could see her tonight.

I wish I could walk into my apartment and see her lying on my couch waiting for me.

Or in my bed.

Hell, I’m going to need a cold shower before I fall asleep tonight.

“Sounds like you found yourself a great partner. Maybe she’ll end up being the perfect girl for you.”

I shake my head. “Nah. I doubt it. I mean she’s been cool about this arrangement we have going on and luckily there’s enough chemistry between us to make it not feel forced, but I seriously doubt that I’m her type. I didn’t get the impression from her that she’s a sports fan at all.”

“Not her type?” August laughs. “You mean a rich attractive young man who has the body you have and a willingness to give her anything she wants in the bedroom? Who the fuck doesn’t like that type?”

Griffin leans over and gives August a fist-bump. “Amen brother!”

Finally, dressed in my suit and leaving the arena, I head out to the parking garage with my keys and cellphone in hand. Moving toward my parking spot, I hit the unlock button on my key fob as my cellphone chimes. When I turn it over, I see a text from Corri and stop dead in my tracks.

Corri

I know it’s late on a Saturday night, but I also know you’re usually sitting at home alone crying over a bowl of pasta so…
