“Huh uh.”

“What else…oh shit.” Her eyes bulge even more and her smile drops. “Is it hockey?”

“Bingo.”

“Oooh fuck! Dear baby Jesus tell me it’s not a player on the STARS?”

When I don’t answer her she knows the answer is yes.

“Holy fucking shit, Corrigan! Wait…” She raises her hand to her chest. “Please don’t tell me it’s Griffin Ollenberg because as much as I know I’ll never have a chance with that man, his penchant for pajama pants and the donations he makes to the kids at the hospital melts me every time. He’s the cutest and if you tell me you got to fuck the one person who makes watching hockey worth it for me, we might have to never be friends again.”

Laying my hand on her forearm I reassure her, “I promise you I will always, always, always consider hoes before bros and will never fuck Griffin Ollenberg. You have my word. I know how long you’ve admired his cuteness.”

“Okay so if it’s not Griffin and it’s not Oliver Magallan or August Blackstone,” she starts, eyeing me as she puts the pieces together. “And you don’t know him very well…” She stares at me shocked. “And he didn’t know who you were…?”

“Nope.” I shake my head. “No idea.”

She gasps and then whispers, “Oh my God Corrigan, did you just fuck Bodhi Roche?”

Letting all my pent-up excitement out, I fall back against my couch with my arms out and a huge very satisfied smile plastered on my face. “Layk, with his tongue at my tits, I rode that man like the bull he is meant to be and I enjoyed every fucking minute of it.”

“Oooh…my…God. Tell me every fucking thing! First, what the hell did you do when he showed up? Did you tell him you knew who he was?”

“Hell no!” I laugh. “I mean on the inside I was battling over whether or not I should say something and then graciously bow out, but then I realized he had no idea who I was which made me think to myself that here’s this new guy in town, new to the team, who I thought was this badass know-it-all…”

“Well, that’s the way the media has hyped him up,” Layken says with a bob of her head.

“Right, but he’s totally not that guy! I mean maybe he is on the ice. Obviously he is on the ice, but off the ice…phew.” I fan my face. “He’s just this hot as sin super virgin who refused to give in to temptation because he didn’t want to let his father down. Now he just wants to be able to please a woman so when the time comes, he knows what he’s doing.”

Layken considers my explanation and then adds, “Well, think about it Corri. If he’s never had sex a day in his life, he can’t just pick up some random woman and take her to bed not knowing what to do or how to do it. He could end up all over the front page of every tabloid if he were to be bad at it.”

“Exactly. And I considered all that. I really did consider being honest with him, but the more he spoke, the more vulnerable he was, and the more vulnerable he was, the more I realized he was trusting me…this random female stranger, with his biggest secret. How could I say no then? Also, he is so far from bad at anything. He’s the model student if I do say so myself.”

She smirks. “I mean it helps that he’s hot. No question.”

“One hundred percent. I lucked out there for sure.”

She tosses a cookie into her mouth and with a mouthful asks, “So how did you guys even get started with…you know?”

I shrug. “I basically told him to kiss me. Straight up.”

She laughs. “You did what?”

“It was the only thing I could think to do. We were both a bit nervous and going through idle conversation and I needed to smash the ice, not just break it if the night was going to go anywhere, so I told him to consider the two of us on a fantastic date and to just kiss me. And so, he did.”

“Aaaand?”

“Aaaand I still can’t wipe the smile off my face because that man can kiss.”

“Not too sloppy?”

“Nope. Perfect amount of lip and tongue action. Not too hard. Not too soft. Lips were warm. It was…wow. That was the only word I could find for it. Wow.”

“Eeeeek!” Layken claps her hands excitedly. “I am so fucking happy for you. So, you brought him back here, obviously.”

“Mhmm.”

“And then?”
