“Holy shit!” My body went taut for what felt like an eternity before pleasure snapped me in half. My skin was hot, on fire actually, as my limbs went limp while pleasure shook me. “Wow!”
Ryan let out a satisfied smile as he released my legs and pressed his chest to mine, his hips moving like a wild stallion as he chased his pleasure until he splintered with his own orgasm. “Torey, fuck babe. You’re going to kill me,” he panted when his orgasm subsided.
His words washed over me like the erotic compliment it was, and I felt a satisfied smile stretch across my face. I struggled to catch my breath even minutes later, but when I finally did, my eyes found Ryan’s, hooded and still full of desire. “That was…wow.”
His lips twitched. “You already said that.”
“I know but…holy shit, why is it like this with us?” A thought occurred to me. “Is it always like this for you?”
He laughed. “Fuck no. This is like something out of this world, Tor.”
“Agreed. Totally.” I knew this feeling well, this infatuation mixed with affection. I’d been here before and I’d been wrong before too. Just enjoy the sex, I told myself as our bodies separated and we turned to face each other. “Is this weird?”
“Nope. Is it weird for you?”
I pushed up on my forearm to take in the beauty that was Ryan and shook my head. “I feel like it should be weird, but it feels natural. Maybe it’s because we’ve been in each other’s lives since forever?”
“Maybe. Or maybe it’s because things burn so hot between us that it transcends anything we know.”
Holy hot shit! “Yeah, maybe.” My gaze raked over his beautiful body and a slow smile formed on my lips. “You have certainly grown up, Ryan.”
He laughed. “Thanks?”
I took advantage of this moment in time and let my fingertips dance along his skin, bronzed as hell despite the red hair, freckles, and green eyes. Ripped to shit from head to toe, my mouth watered. “I’m serious, this is like a work of, oh Ryan.” I saw the wound, pink and puckered on his abdomen. “How does it feel?”
He looked down and then met my gaze. “Not good, but it’s fine. It’s the one in my thigh that worries me.” He looked away and sat up, greedily taking in his strong, thick legs.
There in the middle of his right thigh was another raw wound. I gently rubbed around the pink area. “Is it bad?”
He shook his head. “You can touch it.” His lips curled into a smirk at his words. “When I’m on it too much, it aches which means I’m a liability to my men when we’re hiking twenty kilometers in the desert or the mountains.”
“Ryan,” I sighed. “I’m sorry.”
“I don’t want your pity, Torey.”
I laughed. “It’s not sympathy, I’m sad and mad that you were hurt. And I’m pissed that you think I’d ever pity you.” I smacked his arm with the back of my hand. “What the hell is there to pity? The fact that you’re strong and capable? A badass? A beast in bed? Oh no, poor baby.” I rolled my eyes for dramatic effect.
Ryan let out a harsh laugh. “Okay fine, I get your point.” He pulled me on top of him and wiggled his brows. “A beast in bed, huh?”
I nodded. “You know you are.” I placed my hands on his chest and sat astride him. “And I really don’t feel sorry for you, Ry. I’m sad that one stupid bullet may take the thing you love away from you.”
“That was just the right thing to say,” he growled and flipped me onto my back. “How am I ever gonna get enough of you, Torey?”
Before I could tell him he didn’t have to, he slid deep and erased all words and thoughts from my mind. This wasn’t the dance lesson I planned.
This was so much better.
Chapter 14
Ryan
"What are you doing here?" Torey's brows furrowed as she glared at me. "Did you forget your boxers in your rush to leave?"
She was so adorable when she was riled up. "I did forget them, actually. Did you find them?" It was dangerous to tease her like this, but I wasn’t afraid of a little trouble.
Her nostrils flared, and a low growl escaped her before she took a step back and gripped the door.
I moved quickly to the other side of the door before she slammed it in my face. "Somebody is grumpy. You must not have had your coffee yet," I laughed as I made a beeline for her cozy, colorful kitchen.
