Their bodies rocked against each other, sweaty skin slapping against sweaty skin. Their moans and groans mingled, creating a sensual soundtrack for their lovemaking. It took a while for them to cease trembling and their breathing to return to normal.

When it did, he rolled over onto his back and pulled her against him. Her hand splayed across his abs, her body curved against him, fitting against him as if she was made for him. The missing piece that completed the puzzle that was Orazio Cattaneo.

No words were needed. They lay that way, holding each other until they drifted off to sleep. It had been one exhausting ass day. But they’d been able to seek comfort in each other. Raz wanted this type of comfort forever.

Now, he understood why some of the men who worked for him were eager to go home to their wives and girlfriends at the end of the day. They sought the comfort only the woman they loved could give. Now, it seemed, he would be one of those men.

Finally.

Chapter Twenty-Two

ORAZIO

––––––––

He awoke to banging on his door.

He started to sit up. The feel of Monique resting against his chest stopped him. He paused to stare down at her. A smile crept across his face as he watched her. He couldn’t help but wonder what she was dreaming about.

Probably him. His grin widened. Was she dreaming about the way he’d fucked her mere hours ago? Or was it round two that she was dreaming about? They’d fallen asleep, only to wake up and go at it again. Then they’d fallen back to sleep, wrapped up in each other. He’d never slept so well before.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Shit! The door. He’d forgotten that quickly. He eased Monique onto her own pillow, then took his time climbing out of bed, careful not to awaken her. Once he was on his feet, he quickly began searching the room for his pants.Found them. He slid one leg into his pants as he rushed toward the door.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Raz gritted his teeth and resisted the urge to call out for the person to hold the fuck up. He didn’t want to wake Monique up. He’d worn her out last night. She needed her rest because he fully intended to wear her out again today.

By the time he reached the door, he had his pants on and buttoned up. He unlocked the door and pulled it open.

“What the fuck...” he whispered loudly, then paused. “Dad!”

“I called first.” His dad pushed past him to enter the room. “You didn’t answer.”

Monique.Raz turned and grabbed his dad’s arm. His father stopped and looked back at him.

“What are you doing?” his dad asked.

“I have company.”

His dad’s eyebrow raised. “You do?”

“I do. She’s sleeping. Let’s talk outside.”

His dad looked back toward the bedroom.

“Dad,” Orazio whispered.

“She must be important if you didn’t take her to a guest room for the night.”

“She’s very important.”

“Who is she?” His dad faced him. “If she’s important, why haven’t I met her?”

“You haven’t met her because she’s important, and I’m not trying to scare her away.”

Actually, if she hadn’t run yet, then maybe she wouldn’t run after meeting his dad, the don.
