I played right into his hands that night. The moment I got the text about the pot being that high, I forgot everything. Even when she reminded me it was her birthday, I still couldn’t miss the opportunity to win that much money. It would have solved all my problems.

Saint continues, reclaiming my attention. “Everything after that just worked in my favor. I had my guys play the bad men in order to get her to move into my home. Once she was there, I figured I had her. But she was still a little hesitant. She let me taste that sweet pussy but wouldn’t give it all to me.”

I pull at my bonds at the mention of him having what should only belong to me. He and Ghost laugh at my attempt.

“I’m quick on my feet, so I had a plan for that as well. I brought home an old girlfriend in order to get the ball rolling. It worked like a fucking charm. Thankfully, I had the hindsight to replace her birth control with placebos. The pregnancy sealed the deal. And now,” he says holding his arms out at his sides. “I’m about to be a married man.”

Rage rises up in me. No way will I let this scum win. Yeah, my plans for Tiffany weren’t all that kosher, but this guy is pure evil. She deserved so much more than this conniving, scheming, asshole.

“I won’t let you get away with this. I’ll find a way to tell Tiffany everything.”

The smile on his face falls and sitting in front of me is a stone-cold killer. For the first time, I actually start to see the true nature of this beast. I allowed a psychopath to come in and take the one good thing I had. I failed her.

Slowly, a grin appears on his face. “How can you tell her from hell?”

I open my mouth to reply, but the sound of a gunshot blasts in my ear. Only a millisecond of time passes before the bullet pierces my head. In that time, all I can think of is her. Sorry, Tiffany.

y wife did an amazing job planning this wedding. We’re in one of the private rooms at Salv’s restaurant. Tiffany, Mira, and the wedding planner came last night and decorated the place. White wisteria and ivy wrap around the rafters along with the white silk curtains. Candelabras are the centerpiece of each table. The white and black color scheme is spread out through all the decorations. It is absolutely beautiful.

“Was it all worth it?” Mason, my best man, asks in my ear as he stands beside me up at the altar.

I turn to him and smile. When I first told my brothers of my plans, they thought I was insane. Truthfully, I am. Did I go too far for Tiffany? Probably. Changing her birth control to placebos might have been pushing it. However, touching her stomach every night knowing my first born is growing inside her has proven well worth the trouble.

From the moment I first saw her, I knew she would be mine. Getting to know her this past year has made me fall in love with her. However, that night she came to my office, sealed her fate. I’ll never let her go. Death himself will be the only reason I’ll ever walk away from her.

Turning to my brother, I smile. “Abso-fucking-lutely.”

He shakes his head. He doesn’t agree with me, but he will soon. I turn to look at Mia sitting at the table with Nathanial Otella and his wife Albany.

Otella tips his head to me. It was one of his boys that beat the shit out of Russell. I wanted to kill him for the shit he said to Tiffany. It took a minute for Mason to fuck the information of what Russell said out of Mia. I knew some shit went down that night to upset my girl, I had no idea what it was.

Mason told me I needed to keep my hands clean. I was too close to Russ and could possibly be a suspect. He called in his old friend, Otella, and he took care of it.

The music starts and my attention goes directly to the back doors. My heart starts to race. I never thought I’d be nervous watching the love of my life walking down the aisle to me. The doors open and Mira and Kaz walk down the aisle arm and arm. They part when they get to us and go their separate ways. The doors open again, and Salv walks in. He tosses some flowers out in front of him. The room starts to laugh.

I thought Tiffany was joking when she asked could Salv be her flower girl. I really didn’t expect for his ass to agree to it.

Salv dances down the aisle tossing flowers as he goes. He stops every few steps and throws roses up in the air to fall over his head.

“I swear he never takes anything serious,” Mason grumbles behind me.

I laugh because he’s right.

“He’s been practicing this for weeks,” Kaz adds causing me and Mason to laugh.

Salv does a spin and tosses more flowers down.

“Salvito, hurry the fuck up,” I finally say once I’ve grown tired of his antics.

Everyone in the room chuckles. Salv tosses the last few petals and comes to stand in line behind us.
