"What do you want from me, Bryce? You've already drugged and kidnapped me. What more can you possibly take?"

"Ah, but that's where you're wrong," he said, leaning in closer. "I haven't taken anything from you yet. But believe me, I will."

"Go to hell," Tati growled, her body tense and ready for a fight.

"Been there. Done that," he told her as he tried to cup her cheek.

She swiped his hand away as hard as she could.

"Damn it, Tati," Bryce cursed, his voice laced with irritation. In his other hand, he held a cup of water, and her actions had caused him to spill some of it. "Drink this," he ordered, extending the cup toward her.

"No!" Tati refused, eyeing the water suspiciously. "You're just going to drug me again."

"Drink the damn water, or I'll force it down your throat."

"Go ahead and try," she challenged, her eyes flashing with defiance.

"Have it your way," he growled, reaching for her chin and tilting her head back. Startled by his sudden movement, Tati sputtered and coughed as the water poured into her mouth. Instinctively, she spat the liquid out, dousing Bryce's face in the process.

"Fuck you!" she yelled, wiping her own wet face. "You had no right to kidnap me!"

Bryce's laughter echoed in the room as he wiped the water from his face.

"You're a real piece of work, Tati," he said, his grin vanishing as quickly as it had appeared.

"Why did you kidnap me?" she whispered. "What are you trying to do?"

"You'll see."

The cold, sinister look in his eyes made her shiver involuntarily. He got up, taking the now empty cup with him, and left the room. Tati stared at the closed door, fear threading through her veins as she realized Bryce wasn't playing games anymore.

She scanned the dark room, desperate to find a weapon or anything that could help her get out of this mess. But she didn’t see anything useful. Maybe there was something in those drawers.

She didn’t get up right away. Instead, she waited to see if Bryce would come back into the room. When he didn’t, she lifted the covers, climbed out of the bed, and strode over to the dresser. Before she could open the drawer, the doorknob turned.

"Shit," she muttered, tiptoeing as fast as she could back to the bed and climbing under the sheets, marveling at his impeccable timing.

Bryce reentered the room, holding a cup of water. His dark eyes bore into Tati's as he stood by the bed, towering over her like a merciless predator.

"Drink," he ordered. "Or I'll pour it on you."

Tati clenched her jaw, defiance, and fear warring inside her. She wanted to challenge him but feared he'd really pour the water on her. She reached for the cup, but Bryce shook his head, telling her to tilt it back instead. As he sat down on the edge of the bed, he looked down at her with a chilling intensity.

"Will you let me go if I do what you say?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

He just glared at her.

"I need to use my phone to check on Taro," she said, desperation seeping through her words.

For a moment, Bryce remained silent, his expression unreadable. But she noticed the tick in his jaw.

Then, finally, he nodded. "Drink this, and I'll let you make a call."

Tati's heart raced as she tilted her head back, her eyes locked with Bryce's.

His voice was a low, deep command. "Open your mouth."

She swallowed hard and obeyed. The water poured into her mouth, filling it quickly. She tapped his arm to signal him to stop, but he didn't relent. Instead, he continued pouring the water, his gaze unwavering.
