@Raven88:See, I wasn’t even going to go there, but since it’s out there. Are you?
@TestyTesty:??
@99ProblemsButaBossAintOne:I’m just saying.
@ImBossy26:Yes, we’re sleeping together and I think I love him.
@99ProblemsButaBossAintOne:First of all, you go girl! Second of all, tell the boss about it and let him take the trash out for you.
Most of the ladies agreed with 99ProblemsButaBossAintOne. And the more I thought about it, it sounded like a better plan than to allow Mason and Grace to continue barraging me with their feelings about my relationship with Archer. Not to mention the threat of Mason doing something to glitch my brainchild, Zeenith.
@ImBossy26:Thanks ladies. I will talk to him tonight.
@Raven88:You better see that man tonight, and make sure you get ???
@ImBossy26:You are too much.
@BlacqQueen333:Follow your heart and be safe. And most definitely, fight back against your coworker!
@ImBossy26:I will. Good night.
@TestyTesty:Good night.
@Raven88:GN
@BlacqQueen333:Rest well.
@99ProblemsButaBossAintOne:Put it on him and have a good night.
CHAPTER 12
Archer
CRASH AND BURN
"D
amn it," I mutter under my breath, my patience wearing thin. It's been too long since I last saw her, touched her, tasted her lips against mine. My need for her grows stronger by the minute.
I pick up my phone and dial her number, the beeping sound almost mocking my impatience. I pace around my lavish living room, filled with expensive furniture and art that suddenly seem insignificant in comparison to the woman I'm trying to reach.
"Hello?" Her voice sends a shiver down my spine.
"Tahani, it's Archer. Are you still at work?"
"Archer, hi. Yes, I am. I lost track of time. Are you in your office?" She sounds genuinely surprised, her focus on her work so strong that she's oblivious to the late hour.
“No, I had to leave right after I stopped in to see you.”
“Oh, I thought you were still here.”
The words tumble out of my mouth. “I need you to come over to my house when you're done."
"Is everything okay?" There's a hint of concern laced in her tone, and I imagine the way her brow furrows in worry.
"Everything will be fine once I see you. Just finish up and come over, alright?"
"I'll be there as soon as I can," she promises, her voice soothing the turmoil inside me like a balm.
