She snatched the umbrella from Emir and threw it to the ground. Her chest heaved as she stood getting soaked in the rain.

Emir stood still for a moment and then suddenly turned to leave. As he walked away, he turned and yelled over his shoulder. “ If you want a ride back to your hotel, come on; I’ll take you.”

Selene looked at him with a shocked gasp. “I’m not going anywhere with you!” She yelled at his back.

He stopped and flashed a knowing smile. “Come on,” he said, “You know you didn’t have a prayer of getting out of this rain before I came along. Let’s go before you catch a cold in this storm.”

Selene felt the anger rising inside her as she took deep breaths. She was not going to be dragged around like some damsel in distress! After all, she had done perfectly fine making it through life alone this far. Who did he think he was? She would have figured something out, eventually.

“No!” She shouted furiously, “I don’t need your help! I can return to my hotel just fine, thank you very much. I don't need you to take care of me! "

She whirled around and stomped off in the opposite direction, not even glancing back at him for fear of breaking down into tears. Her heart raced with fury; how dare he patronize her like she was an errant child.

Suddenly, Selene felt herself being lifted off the ground, and her body was draped over Emir’s shoulder. “Put me down!” She commanded as she banged on his back. Her breath caught in her chest as she felt three sharp smacks to her ass. “You disrespectful asshole, put me down!”

Emir ignored her and deposited her into the passenger seat of a Tahoe. Selene was angry, slightly turned on, and worn out by the entire episode. She sat silently as Emir drove and soon drifted off to sleep.

When they finally arrived, Selene woke up and looked around. When she saw where they were, she asked.

“Why are we here? This isn’t my place.”

Emir nodded and turned off the ignition. “Nope, it's mine.” He reached over and wiped a wet tendril of hair from her face. “Why don’t we go upstairs and dry off? I don’t want you getting sick.”

Selene considered his words. “I don’t know if that’s a good idea, Emir.”

He didn’t respond, but the look he gave her spoke volumes.

Selene felt a wave of panic wash over her. She knew how easy it would be for them to cross boundaries that neither could return from.

Selene searched for an excuse that could make him understand why she had to say no, but she came up empty. The raw desire they shared was unmistakable. Every day, she felt herself being pulled inexorably towards him as if an invisible force was drawing them together with an irresistible power. She felt a deep longing within her heart that she couldn’t shake, which scared her more than anything else.

Reading the uncertainty in her eyes, Emir leaned over the console and held her chin gently, his gaze unwavering and warm. “Come with me,” he said softly. Be a good girl, and let me take care of you. That’s all I want to do.”

Selene exhaled. After the day, week, and life she’d had, that was all she wanted too. So, she opened the door and followed him home.

e a good girl

Selene repeated the words to herself as she followed Emir into the elevator.

Selene was a strong, independent woman, not a girl. She didn’t understand why her pussy salivated over his words. His display of power should not have turned her on, but it did.

God, it did.

Did he slip into her apartment and peek at her Kindle? It was full of hot, filthy romance books that featured cocky men that made Selene melt. Men confident enough to tell a woman like her to get on her knees and make him cum. The heroes she liked talked dirty and fucked even harder.

Emir didn’t disappoint in their first and only time together. She’d be lying if she didn’t admit she wanted him badly.

A man hadn’t warmed her bed since their encounter last year. She damn near forgot she had a pussy until Emir returned to her life. She did not doubt that he would play her body like a well-tuned instrument if she allowed him to touch her again.

When Selene entered the condo, she was immediately impressed. Slowly, she walked, taking in all the details, while Emir ran to get some towels.
