I thought it was an odd question for someone new to the company. I’d only seen his brother once, and I barely remember what he looked like. “No, I haven’t.”
“Do you know anything about social media?”
“Ah, I guess.”
“Go to the FuSeWater social media pages and get familiar with them. Instagram, Meta, Twitter X, TikTok and Threads. I may need a social media content creator very soon.”
“Okay.”
“I think Wesley is avoiding me. Walk down to his office and see if he’s there.”
So, I guess this dude's feet didn’t work. “Okay.” I said, thinking about why I had to walk to the other side of the building. Send your damn brother an email, a text message or just call him.
I was waiting to be dismissed and shifted my weight from one foot to the other.
“Leave.” He shooed me away with his hand.
I scurried to the door and turned on my heels to glare at master. “If I see your brother, then what?”
“Bring him to me.”
All I could do was roll my eyes and leave the damn office. I dropped my notebook and pen on my desk and took the long hike down the aisle around the corner to Wesley’s office. Explain to me how the hell I’m supposed to get a grown ass man to come to your interrogation room slash office. Lord, make it make sense.
I entered Wesley’s office through his open door. This man had his head down on his desk. Was this fool sleep at the job with his whole ass door open?
“Hey. Hey. Heyyyyyy!” I barked.
“What’s up?”
“Your brother is looking for you.” I had both hands on my hips because this was stupid.
“My brother?”
“Yes, Kyle, your brother.”
“What?”
“Kyle told me to tell you to come see him right now.”
“Oh God, I’m hungover. What does he want?”
“How the hell would I know?” I should have been more professional but this was just dumb.
“Shit, you look pretty today.”
“I know. I need you to come on.”
“Do I have to?”
“Yes.”
“I need coffee.”
“If I get you coffee, are you going to go to Kyle’s office?”
“Are you going to get me coffee?”
“No, you’re going to get your own coffee.”
