“Hey!” Skye yelled. “Neither of you have to touch his junk. Just use the cauterizer function on the device and slice through his... junk. It’ll keep him from bleeding out, and you won’t have to touch him. Now hurry.”
“I forgot about the cauterizer button.” Exa smiled at Scar. “Would that work for you, savage teddy?”
“Don’t try to sweet talk me now,” Scar folded his arms over his chest.
“Will it work, love of my life?” Exa asked and batted her eyes.
“Yes, Chocolate. It’ll work.”
“Are you two serious?” Arson drawled. “Hurry the fuck up.”
Exa twisted the end on the device, then pulled it off. She pressed a button on the side. The tip of the device turned red.
“I love this new toy. It has so many functions,” Exa said, excited. Her daze drifted to the judge, who was pissing himself. Exa sighed. “Just plain nasty. Stop peeing.”
Scar chuckled.
“Please, Angel,” the judge begged. His face was so swollen she could hardly recognize him. “Just kill me,” he said.
That stopped her. He wanted to die. He wanted the pain to end. He didn’t want to suffer. She brought the device closer to him. The high-pitched scream he emitted hurt her ears.
“No. Please! No.”
There was real fear in his eyes now. This was what she’d wanted to see. She brought the device even closer. Ignoring his screams, she grazed his cock with the device. A piece of dick-skin peeled away, like a piece of thinly sliced ham. His cries of pain were louder than those she remembered from his victims.
“Can you all hear him?”Exa thought, wishing the people who’d suffered at his hands could experience this with her.“Can you all see him? This is for you.”Exa sliced again.
There was that scream she craved. Sweat beaded the judge’s body. He was trembling uncontrollably. But no blood was flowing from his dick. He wouldn’t die from this. Exa didn’t want him to die from this. She’d changed her mind. She had other plans for him.
“Exa!” Arson yelled. “Uh. Another helicopter has arrived. And you’ll never guess who stepped off it.”
“Who?”
“Superior.”
“Our superior?” Exa asked.
“Yes. Nova. She’s heading inside.”
“What is she doing here?”
“I have no idea,” Arson told her.
Shit. No, wait. This could be a good thing. This could be a very good thing. Exa leaned forward and peered into the judge’s eyes. He had a glazed look in his gaze. He was in so much pain that he couldn’t even focus.
“Death would be an easy out for you. You don’t deserve death. You deserve to live a long life. A long life full of pain and suffering. You deserve to have a piece of you cut away each day. And with every piece cut, a Timeless agent will say the night of someone you’ve hurt. And there are many names.”
Tears dripped down his cheeks. She’d never reveled in someone else’s pain this way. It made her feel like a monster. It made her feel evil. But she didn’t care. This day, she’d be the monster this monster feared.
“Exa, the Timeless have killed everyone present. Even those who were tranqed to go in the cages. They are calling in reinforcements to get rid of the bodies. Nova checked in. She said her connect reached out to the police department and told them the military was doing drills tonight. No police are coming. Nova is heading to the basement. She should be knocking on the door soon.”
Exa looked over at Scar. “You ready to meet my superior?”
“I’m ready for anything this night throws at us,” he told her.
Unable to help herself, Exa slid the device across the judge’s thigh. His howl of pain was more like a whimper this time. He’d soon pass out. No worries. He’d only awaken to more torture. This was his life from now on. A knock at the basement door drew her gaze that way. Scar headed over to the door and opened it. He stepped aside. In stepped Nova, her superior. She stared Scar up and down.
“Leave us,” she ordered.
