Chapter Six

Eve

––––––––

Lying flat on her back, Eve stared up at the ceiling.

Her mind was racing. So many thoughts were drifting through it that she couldn’t get a wink of sleep. She desperately wanted to take a nap to sleep away the boredom. The problem was, whenever she closed her eyes, he appeared. Eve sighed. She refused to even think his name.

Whenever she thought of him, her anger rose another notch. That bastard had really made her sit in his lap. And he’d really tapped a strip of bacon against her cheek. If her skin broke out, she was going to kill him. Eve sighed as she thought about what he’d done.

He’d tapped that damn bacon against her cheek like it was a dick. To add insult to injury, he’d gotten turned on by the whole ordeal. Her misery had aroused him.Unbelievable. If she’d had a knife at the time, she would’ve stabbed him twenty-five times in his left nut.

“What the hell is wrong with him?” Eve yelled.

“Who?”

She sat up and stared at the guard. “I’m not talking to you.”

“You’ve been talking to yourself for the past two hours.”

“Oh, Mr. Silent wants to talk now.”

“I don’t want to talk. Neither do I want to listen. So, please be quiet.”

“You’re just like that bastard boss of yours,” she mumbled as she laid back down.

“What did you say?”

“Nothing. What’s your name anyway?”

“Rest.”

“I’ve been resting ever since your bastard... since I was kidnapped. You can at least tell me your name.”

Still staring straight ahead, he said, “Will you be quiet if I answer?”

“Sure.”

“Giorgio.”

“Hi, Giorgio. I’m...”

“The don’s. I know. Now be quiet.”
