Page 89 of Love Not Qualified

She broke from our kiss, a small smile stretching on her red, full lips. Haelyn took a step to the side, allowing me to focus only on getting us inside and nothing else. If the goddamn door wasn’t going to open in the next two seconds, I was about to forget about my good intentions.

I pushed the key into the lock, but it didn’t fit, not even half. I squinted at it, trying to figure out whether I grabbed the wrong copy, but when I read ‘Royals’ on it, I knew it was the correct one.

When my eyes rose to check the apartment number, the door cracked open and an old lady, small of stature with a white night dress on her body glanced up at us. Her eyes jumped from me to Haelyn, sleepy bags resting under them.

“Tristan? Is that you?” she asked, stepping forward.

Fucking shit. I was so caught up in Haelyn that I almost burst into Elena’s house.

“I still have some of the groceries you bought me last week,” she said, thinking that I was here for her weekly shopping list. “How about coming back in a few days? I’ll make you a cake.” She smiled widely, and I nodded.

Even though I loved Elena, there was something extremely urgent about to happen, so dismissing her as respectfully as possible was the only choice I had.

“Have a good one, Elena,” I told her, turning away to the other hall and taking Haelyn by the hand with me.

“Is that your girlfriend, Tristan?” Elena asked behind us and when I stopped in my place, she continued. “I would love toknow you better one day, sweetheart,” she suggested, and I could feel the smile in her voice as she closed the door shut after her.

When I moved out of this building, leaving Elena behind was the hardest thing. She was a nice neighbor, always showing up at my door with homemade sweets and the least I could do for her was restocking the ingredients she wasted on making something for me.

I might not live here anymore, but she still prepared me cakes or new recipes she found on the internet.

I strode to the other end of the hallway when I stopped hearing footsteps behind me. My eyes peered over my shoulder where Haelyn was supporting her hands on her knees, smiling while shaking her head.

“What?” I asked, not able to contain the lift of my lips either.

She laughed, one of her curls touching her forehead. “I’m just glad your key didn’t fit or else we would’ve had an audience,” she explained, then came to me. “And here I thought you never make mistakes.” Haelyn raised a brow.

I tilted my head in challenge. She responded with her arms crossed over her chest, foot tapping on the ground. I held her eyes as I unlocked the door and pushed it open with my boot and she didn’t back away for a second with her proud and confident stare.

Haelyn still had a smile on her face, not picking up the shift in my mood immediately. I stepped toward her, towering over her body with my height even though she wasn’t far to reach me, until our shoes touched. She looked into my eyes, darkening with a dangerous promise—that was the moment she gulped and relaxed her facial muscles, realization settling in.

Her arms fell beside us and I took her palms into mine, curling my fingers with hers. Jolts burst on every inch of my skin. I leaned down, sinking my teeth into the crook of her neck.

Haelyn’s head fell back when I spoke on her skin. “I’ll show you how I do everything right.” It was more of a warning, but she didn’t have enough time to register until I picked her up and threw her on my shoulder, marching inside and closing the door shut after us.

She gasped, slapping my back. “Tristan!” she urged. “Let me down.”

Never, was on the tip of my tongue, but something else came out instead. “No.”

I kept her still with a hand on her ass, my fingers gliding down to the spot between her legs, teasing her. She arched the slightest bit, palms clutching my shirt. I carried us to my old room, flicking the lights on with my free hand and putting her on the bed. The mattress bounced under her weight and the illuminated room revealed her red face.

I stood in front of her at the edge of the bed, letting my eyes survey her body. Haelyn’s face was all flustered, her cheeks covered in a crimson pink as she fought for air. I was too busy fixating on her heavy breathing chest to notice if she was watching me as well or not, blood boiling with need in my veins.

She looked like a goddamn goddess in my sheets, resting on her elbows while she waited for me. Her legs were open, giving me the perfect room to fit in.

“Clothes off,” I ordered.

Haelyn blinked. “I?—”

“Clothes off,” I insisted, twitching my jaw. My dick was growing harder and harder and I prayed I was strong enough to not finish the second I entered her.

She hesitated a moment before she reached the hem of her shirt, biting her bottom lip. The material flew over her head, leaving her breasts covered by nothing but a bra. Then she moved to her jeans, unbuttoning them with slow movements.

Her eyes traveled my body, squinting at me. “You too.” She nudged her chin at me at the last button, stopping there.

I smiled. “Impatient?” I asked, but before I finished the word, my pants and boxers were at the bottom of my feet. I stepped out of them and got rid of the heavy shirt as well. “I’m impatient too,” I admitted, helping her out of her jeans and her panties. “But I want to enjoy this.”

Unlike the last time, I wasn’t at all interested in her lingerie. All I wanted was to see her body in its full glory.
