And then Penny’s eyes were locked on the light of her life. He grabbed her left hand in his and dragged her away from the ballroom to one of the various empty rooms in the estate.
“You ran away from me.” Rhysand pulled Penny by her waist, pulling her close as he pressed his forehead on her face.
“I did not run away from you. I am simply too busy being a host.”
Rhysand scoffed at the reply.
“If being a host means I shall have no time to hold you in my arms like this, I shall send everyone home this instant. The newlyweds included.”
Penny laughed at the threat.
“Do not send everyone home. I enjoy hosting them, everyone is merry!” Penny laughed, but it was quickly hushed with soft, warm, and familiar lips over hers.
“Dance with me,” Rhysand murmured against her lips. Penny’s eyes widened at the request.
“You do not dance.”
“With you, I do.” Rhysand pulled Penny flush against his chest, holding her tight as they moved slowly.
“I love you.”
This was her life now. Gone were the sad days that plagued Penny with thoughts. Now she had a husband who loved her dearly, her family and friends that she could not do without, and a baby on the way. She had everything she could ever want and more, and she had never been happier.
The End?
