Page 79 of Unbroken Promises

He groans loudly, the sound reverberating through both of us and resonating deep in my core. I place a quick kiss to his lips and then I am sitting upright, one hand playing with his piercing as I move up and down, setting a steady pace that has both of us groaning from how good it feels. He is so thick and hard; he stretches me wide and I go up on my knees before quickly lowering myself down once more.

“Jesus, la mia diavoletta. Such a naughty fucking girl. You should see the way your tits bounce, teasing me like that. But damn, you take my dick like such a good fucking girl. You like that, my beautiful little devil?”

“Oh!” Theo begins to rub frantic circles against my nub. “Fuck, Theo! That feels so good. Don’t stop!”

He shifts, lifting his hips to meet me at more of an elevated angle before grabbing my hair and dragging me down for a heated kiss. He slides he mouth along my jaw and down my neck before taking my nipple into his mouth, licking, and biting it while he continues to play with my clit and I pound into him.

With one more sharp nip, I cry out and Theo sucks hard on my nipple, soothing the sting with his tongue as he stiffens and I explode around him, coming so hard that it brings tears to my eyes.

“Jesus! Fuck! Danica!” He pulses inside of me, his come filling me over and over again until I feel him dripping down my legs, just as he promised.

Limbs languid, I collapse on top of his chest, breathing hard, feeling his racing heart beating underneath me.

“Wow.” His voice is breathless as he kisses my forehead, gently brushing the damp curls back from my face.

Yeah, wow.

“Okay, what all do we need for tonight?”

I slide into my seat at the kitchen island next to Theo and he passes me my tumbler of iced coffee. Aside from paying a fine for bailing without notice, despite explaining the circumstances after the fact, Theo’s coach has been riding his ass, and Theo has had to put in long hours on the ice to make up for it.

Word of what happened made the news. Unfortunately, with the three deaths at that barn in the middle of nowhere, the police were called in to file an official report. Finn was able to provide ample documentation from his security firm to back up our claims; knowing that Roberts had been working behind his back made it easier when Finn went back through to find the evidence he had been missing.

Because of the notoriety of Mr. Oakley with his previous fraud investigation, as soon as the media got wind of his wife’s involvement in harassing both Theo and myself, it was all over for him. This scandal was the final nail in the coffin. A public statement was made that he would be stepping down from his company, resignation effective immediately, and he would be selling the Sabretooths hockey team, along with many other personal investments.

Unfortunately for me, the press had been hounding me everywhere I went, and I had to take a temporary leave from Prism, so that my students could continue their schedules without being harassed by overeager reporters. My days were long while Theo was stuck at practice, but I spent my time being shuffled between Jonathan’s apartment and Finn’s place, and QT came to visit any spare time that she had. Muscles and Dimples were still keeping me company, at least until the media hype died down, but I actually kind of like having them around.

With nothing better to do, I even decided to take on a new project to make this house feel more like home to me. So, with the help of the guys, I converted one of the several spare bedrooms to make a space for Wolfie. It took a few days, but it is now identical to his room both back at his home and the one at my old apartment.

It’s been ages since I was able to have him over, thanks to this shady stalker business, and I am over the moon because tonight my favorite little man is having a sleepover. It’s QT’s birthday today, and while I wish I could go out with her to celebrate, she is way overdue for some time to herself. So, instead, I get to introduce my favorite little person to the man of my dreams. And then later this week, we will get to celebrate with a big family Christmas. The first one where all the people I love are in the same room, the way we should be, sharing in a day that is meant for family.

“His room is all ready to go. If you want to win him over though, you might wanna brush up on your knowledge of airplanes. If you really want some bonus points though, you can’t go wrong by stopping by the science museum on your way home and picking up a new model plane for him.”

Theo nods, chewing contemplatively on a piece of bacon. “It’s not my first rodeo with kids you know.” I love this man so much. He knows all about Wolfie of course. I couldn’t stop gushing about my godson over the last week as I excitedly prepared for tonight. The fact that he doesn’t even bring up Wolfie’s autism, it’s not even a factor that crosses his mind, but makes me love Theo more.

I lean over to place a soft kiss on his lips. “I love you.”

He grins back at me. “I know. And you need to stop worrying, everything is going to be fine. Kids love me.”

I stick my tongue out at him. “I know they do. But this is important to me; I want you to make a good first impression. He’s going to be a part of our lives for, well, the rest of our lives. Can you blame me for wanting him to fall in love with his Uncle Theo as much as I love you?”

Theo just rolls his eyes at me. “Stop worrying, il mio passerotto. I’ve got this.” With one more kiss to my lips, he stands. “I’ve gotta get going. We’ve got weight training and then tape reviews this morning, but I promise I will swing by the museum and pick up that model on my way home.” He takes my face, framing it between his hands as he looks deep into my eyes. “You are my whole world, Danica. Be a good girl for me while I’m gone.”

I roll my eyes, but happily kiss him back. “Yes, Hoodie Guy. I promise to be good until you gethome.” I wink at him, before reaching over to steal the last slice of bacon off his plate and take a big bite off the end.

He shakes his head at me, and with one last kiss, and he is out the door, and I can’t help the shit-eating grin as it spreads across my face.

BonusEpilogue

Theo

Eleven Months Later

“Theo? Are you home?”

Danica’s voice carries through the house as she wanders downstairs, searching for me. Shit. Casting one last harried glance around the space, before shutting off the lights and sealing the room. Not wanting to be caught, I quickly make my way out of the closet. But not quickly enough, apparently.

“Theo? What are you doing in there?” Danica is standing in the doorway to our bedroom, a confused frown on her face as she watches me step out of her closet.
