“Come have lunch with me. You order in while I eat out,” he says.

I let out a short laugh and shake my head as I smack his chest.

“Oh my God. You need to stop spending so much time with Liam; his shitty pick-up lines are rubbing off on you.”

Ronan chuckles as he heads to the showers to rinse off, and I start getting dressed into my swimsuit. It’s a lot more difficult to get on now that I’m already wet but still, so worth it.

I’m in the middle of a lap when Ronan leaves, waving goodbye. A morning spent getting finger fucked by my hot older boyfriend and finishing it off with a nice cool swim. Name a better way to start the day.

As soon as my class lets out, I’m practically sprinting to Ronan. I already told everyone that I was having lunch with him today, which they all knew what that was code for.

Excitement thrums inside me. We haven’t hooked up at school in forever. It was too dangerous before. Even what we did this morning would have been too much of a risk. Now that we don’t have a stalker watching our every move, we can actually relax. At least a little.

I may or may not have thrown my hair into some slutty pigtails, folded my skirt up a few inches, and am currently folding my white blouse up to really sell the whole naughty schoolgirl thing. I think he’s going to fucking love it, and I can’t wait to see what he’ll do to me with these pigtails.

Slipping into the pool building, I push through the doors and look over the empty space, inhaling that sweet chlorine smell before grabbing the door to his office. When I do, I’m not at all prepared for the sight I’m greeted with.

Annie Williams is perched not on his desk but in hislap. There she is, sitting pretty, arms around his neck like there is no more natural place for them. I feel my heart physically sink to the ground as I look at them before Ronan turns to face me.

“Skyla.” His eyes widen, a hint of alarm in his voice.

Yeah, he should be very fucking alarmed.

“Skyla?” Annie says with a wrinkle of her nose. “Oh! You’re his niece.”

Ronan sneers. “She is not my niece.”

Annie rolls her eyes. “She married your nephew, same thing. How are you, sweetheart? You can call me Aunt Annie,” she giggles, forcing her tits into Ronan’s face as she does.

He tries to resist her, or at least tries to make it seem like he does, but he doesn’t move very far away from her.

“Will we see you tonight?” Annie asks me.

“Tonight?” I hedge.

“RoRo, did you not tell her yet? So typical of you.” She laughs as she playfully swats his chest.

RoRo?

“Our engagement party at Putnam Manor. It’s tonight. You have to be there, after all, we’re family now,” she says, batting her three-inch long fake eyelashes.

Her tone is sugary sweet, but there is a level of malice to it.

Engagement party? Tonight?

I know Ronan told me that it would be after the holidays, but I didn’t think…I didn’t expect…it’s happening already?

I feel my throat begin to tighten, hot tears burning my eyes as I do my best to banish them away.

“Right, of course. Almost slipped my mind. My husband and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. Congratulations, you two. You’re an adorable couple,” I say, somehow managing not to vomit as I do.

Ronan’s blue eyes are drowning in pain, but conveniently enough, his hand is still resting on her hip. It’s been there since before I walked in, and he can’t even do the courtesy of removing it. Unfuckingbelivable.

“I know, right? He’s a bit of a fixer-upper, but give me a few months, and I’ll have him better than ever.” She smiles.

I’m speechless, for too many reasons, but I don’t have it in me to voice any of them.

“Can I speak candidly, though?” Annie asks.
