Shoving deep, he bowed himself over her and sank his teeth into the sensitive skin of her throat, groaning around her flesh as he filled her to overflowing with jet after hard jet of his release.

Through the haze of pleasure, she saw his form flicker then disappear before he, too, became a riot of color.

As the waves of pleasure gentled, leaving them shaking in the aftermath, the world returned to normal.

Breathless and replete, she lay limp against his chest, feeling deliciously languid.

“So that’s what invisibility feels like,” she panted, smiling dopily.

“Mmm, tingly.”

“And colorful. That was awesome.”

“You are speaking of the mating, of course.”

“Mmm, yeah, that was good, too,” she murmured teasingly.

He gasped in feigned offense. “Only good!”

Snickering, she turned and pressed a kiss to his chest. “Okay, fine, it was incredible.”

“Better.” Thegan stumbled slightly as he walked out of the river, groaning, “Gods, I feel as weak as a newbornvrielseka. You have drained me completely.”

“Just don’t fall and squish me,” she slurred, cracking open an eye to see where they were going.

Chuckling, he nuzzled her hair and murmured, “Never. Though, you would be beautiful even squished.”

Snorting, she nipped his chest, making him groan.

“Gods’ wrath, female! Give me a moment to recover before you command me to mate you again, insatiable hess.”

“Wha– I wasn’t—”

“I am irresistible, I know. But you will just have to wait.”

Laughing she shook her head. “Fine, if you insist.”

He carried her to a nearby patch of dark orange moss and laid down on his back, so she was sprawled on his chest.

She started to wiggle off his cock. How he’d climbed out of the river, carried her across the cave, and lay down all while remaining deep inside her, she had no idea. Some kind of hidden talent, apparently.

Before she could get all the way off, he lightly popped her ass, pushed her back down so he was buried inside her, and grumbled, “Be still.”

“You can't just stay—”

“Can. Will. I live here now.”

Victoria snickered. “You’re ridiculous.”

“Mmm, so Thorn loves to tell me. Now hush. I need my sleep so I can ravage you again.”

She was still smiling as she drifted off.

Chapter 25

Hours later, after a nap, some food, a surprisingly short meeting where they came up with a battle plan, and a subsequent argument with her guys over said plan, everyone going on the mission gathered in the main cavern, getting ready and checking their weapons.

Despite the seriousness cloaking the group like a cloud, she kept catching Thegan sending her hungry looks. Was she smiling like a well-sexed, lovesick mess? Damn right. But she couldn’t seem to stop herself.
