“Son, we were attacked,” Yiannis says. We jump out of our seats.

“Father are you all okay, what happened? Where are you,” Alistair worries.

“We’re on our way to Balthazar’s house. Santiago’s men found out where we were when Sabre called her parents. Somehow Santiago’s people were able to trace her call.”

All eyes fall on me. Shit, why on God’s green earth would she call those people?

“We were able to take them down but one of the men subdued your Grandfather. Sabre was willing to exchange her life for his,” Yiannis continues.

My head spins. My lady was willing to sacrifice her life for Sebastian’s.

“Sebastian, please tell me they are alright,” I croak, wanting to know but at the same time not.

“Sabre is fine son, but the man shot Father in his shoulder.”

Alistair knocks his chair over, cursing. Zar’s jaws click as his face turns red. I pound the table with my fists with anger. I hope they kept the asshole alive for us.

“Father, where is the motherfucker? We want him,” Zar roars through clenched teeth.

Yiannis pauses before answering, “He’s dead. Princess killed him.”

Zar, Alistair, and I stare at the phone. Devyn? Devyn killed the man.

“Who’s Princess?” Yiorgos asks. His eyes roaming from the three of us.

Alistair wickedly smiles, replying, “She’s our little sister. A true Kourakos.”

“I definitely look forward to meeting her,” Yiorgos states.

“Listen,” Yiannis interrupts. “Like I said, we’re on our way to Balthazar’s. Balthazar I need you to call Brian and tell him I want a mass amount of security at the house. Tech has been tending to Father’s injury. Luckily it was a through and through and he will heal from it, but this is never to happen again!”

“Don’t worry Father, it won’t. I have just the right person and his people to come keep shit in line until we make it back,” Zar states.

“Alright son, we’re almost at the estate. The next time we see each other, you all better be walking through that door, declaring the Greeks have won this war,” Yiannis says before the line goes dead.

Zar closes his eyes. “Get suited up. Fuck waiting until later, we’re hitting them now.”

Mike and his men leave for his condo. Hendrix and Frankie retreat to their rooms.

“Who are you going to call,” I ask, searching his eyes as he opens them.

“O’Rourke,” Zar answers as he leaves Alistair, Yiorgos, Basil, and me in the dining room.

Two hours later, we’re on our way to Oak Cliff. Before we left, Yiannis called back to let us know they made it to Zar’s. O’Rourke with twenty of his best men along with thirty of ours were waiting for them when they arrived. I tried to call Sabre’s phone but it was going straight to voice mail. I begin to worry, but once Zar told me Sabre let Sebastian know she destroyed the phone, then threw it in the toilet, I calmed down.

“Fuck,” Alistair grumbles. I glance in the rearview mirror to see him pulling at the crotch of his cargo pants in the back seat of the SUV.

“What is it now, Alistair?” Zar asks, not even turning around to see what his little brother was griping about.

Alistair huffs, “I’m going to need a new suit. This one is giving me camel toe and poor Frank can’t breathe.

“Who’s Frank?” Basil questions, watching Alistair tug at his pants.

“You don’t want to know,” I tell him, turning onto the street the GPS advises, not wanting to explain Alistair’s special friend.

Alistair adjusts himself again, then says, “I’m just saying, Tech needs to tell his people to add in in more crotch space so our twigs and berries aren’t so confined.”

With what we are about to face, we can’t help but laugh at his suggestion. I felt the same way he did when I put the suit on but I rearranged my package so the lining wasn’t causing me any discomfort.
